Information about Don's Accident

makes a senseless loss even more senseless...but in the grand scheme of things, God knows best, and with the way things are now a days, he prolly was forced to call on the best for re-enforcements...that's why we can take comfort in knowing we have at least 2 awesome busa armed guardian angels up there between Don and Kevin to look after us:thumbsup: as for the rest of my thoughts about the pos who did this...

Amen, keep us safe when we can't guys :please:

Reading all the posts about Don and lives he has touched, helps ease the pain of his being gone. I hope that it helps the family as much as it has helped those that called him friend.

EVERYONE today was in disbelief. We rode out to the crash scene prior to the funeral and had a prayer there in the road. we all were shaking our heads trying to make sense of it with the details we learned earlier this morning.

the funeral went well, and don looked great. sherry and family were doing as best they could. don has left behind two great sons and a daughter. had the pleasure of meeting them today for the first time. I gave sherry a hug and told her if she needed ANYTHING, to get ahold of us.

The sad part is we know Don would have been the first to stop and help the guy if he had just waved him down.

You are absolutely right. We talked about that today at the crash site.

I just don't know how to feel. The sadness and anger are not mixing well.

Everyone please continue to keep Sherry and the kids in your prayers.

Tough to plan for that, last thing he did was save the dumba$$, at his own complete expense. Should have locked his arms & t-Boned the dipstick.

OMG, I dont know what to say. My prayers will not stop............this is so senseless.

I met Don and Sherry at a couple of the Eureka Springs events, great people. I also was trying to figure out how he could have lost control over a deer. He was a very good and careful rider, granted it could happen, but he lived there and probably new all the deer by name and which way they would run when they saw him coming. If you see a person beside the road, you don't expect them to run out in front of you. This just makes it that much harder to except the loss. Anger and loss for a great person and family man, are the first emotions that come to mind. I cannot imagine how hard it is for Don's family. It is such a tragic loss for both family's, one family loses a father and the other one a son. It will be even harder if they knew each other, and they might, Sale Creek is just a tiny dot on the map. Just read the article again, and boy, Don is going to mad, They said it was a Yamaha  The sad part is we know Don would have been the first to stop and help the guy if he had just waved him down.

That's all for now, thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

Excellently said!

Ok, I have had time to reflect. I am mad, but that is not the point. I have to agree with Shawn to keep my emotions in check. For whatever reason, God called Don home. And for me to believe that everything happens for a reason, and I do believe that, and not try to see that here would make me a hypocrite. We dont know Gods plan, and I dont really want to know, but I know He has a plan for Don. I know He has a plan for me. I hope justice is served for this young man whose actions have caused more damage than he will ever know. See you in Heaven Don, until then, bless you and Godspeed my friend.

Well put. Thanks.

Once again....my condolences to the family. This burden you must have felt for the last few days, knowing what you knew. Or maybe didn't know.... is astounding.
I take it this man was not properly charged until yesterday or today. So if you did know prior.... I can only imagine what you must have been feeling. Again, I am just very sorry.

Hats off to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office investigators for their investigation, and for bringing some closure to this for you.

RIP DON

+1 Again Prayers for the family and friends!

This has sunk in for only a couple of hours now, but I can say that knowing Don as we did, Don wouldn't hate. It was stated so very well earlier, Don is exactly the kind of man that would have stopped to help this guy if he could, and that is the incredibly sad irony of this all.

I'm doing my best to not think all the hateful things I want so badly to wish upon this man, but I know that's now how Don would be...a good man, through and through...very much missed and loved. My thoughts are now reserved for his family and friends...I may not be able to forgive like Don might, but I do know some things just aren't worth my time right now. Focus on his family and hope that they're able to heal. :please:

Don will live forever in our hearts and minds. he was always an inspiration and will continue to be. Ride on Don.:bowdown:

This story is surreal.

It's a sad reminder to keep your head on a swivel. Unbelievably sad story. So sorry to the family for your loss.

Now nail that drunkbastard to the jailhouse door!

Not sure who Don was, but that matters not, he was a brother in that he shared the same passion we all do. R.I.P. Prayers and condolences to the family.....

I cant believe what I just read...... about Don's death! OMG! I am very pissed to hear this news! My prayers go out to Don and his family!
