Is Romney Really the best you all can do?

GPMO: What you are forgetting is that the Presidency isn't just one man, it's also all of those that come with him and appointed to those positions of authority. It's also all the nominations for the judgeships, to likely include several SCOTUS nominations (can you say "Justice Eric Holder"?). I have MUCH more faith that there are some conservatives who have acutally MADE a payroll than some of these Yahoos that came along with a Democratic Majority (Reid, Pelosi, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd); have you read just how huge a monkey wrench the Frank-Dodd act put into the banking system?

Was Jimmy Carter at the DNC? Didn't see him.... Reagan is dead and GHWB is too old, so the only one would have been GWB that we already discussed. LIke I said, didn't see AL Gore...but did see Clinton - who was probably lured there by the promise of some new interns...

Stick to your day job Arch, politics just ain't yore gig!

There's a distinct difference in "Debating" and "Arguing" and you "Ran out of talent" on one of them!

And just one little tidbit that Rachel will never share with you is:

The economy has grown on average 1.4% per year since Obama took office. That's the lowest growth rate in the US since WWII.

Do you really want 4 more years of the same? Really? :dunno:

Obama got Osama

FOUR MORE YEARS!!!!! :cheerleader:

I suspect there's a group of men that would debate that fact with you....they carry a variety of weapons, swim better than most fish and make a living being silent and deadly so .... um yeah... who got Osama again

Let's see it wasn't Dubbya. A variety of weapons: A Walmart employee? Swims better than most fish: Aquaman? Works at Walmart? Silent and Deadly: Aquaman has IBS? And HE got Osama? Wow! No wonder the body was buried at sea! .................

.................................or WAS IT?!??!?!?!?!?

I hear ya just sayin, the guy in the white house didnt do anything but say "OK" a decision that really should have been somewhat of a no brainer. The SEALS should get the credit for getting Osama. There were others out there involved in the planning side but those warriors that were out that night putting it all in harms way are the ones that got the man. Just sucks that anyone will politicize it but guess that's the game

Your arguments consist of repeating what ever te talking head have to say so I'm not sure you have much room to be pointing fingers. Maybe you should stick to giving info on being a better racers.

:)

I can do that to

The men that did the task seek no glory. Therefore the public figure will get the credit.
Perception is reality.

You are correct it is more than one man. And I've seen what the republicans have to offer. More tax on everyone but he rich. No compromising no balance no nothing a do nothing group whose pockets keep getting fatter while the rest of Americans get poorer.

Republicans taking over SCOTUS spells a terrible thing for this country also. Good bye to any social justice. Seein as our SCOTUS is all about their political sides these day than keeping the intent of our laws in balance.

This ideal that republican politicians have earned a real paycheck is a bunch of crap too. People really need to look at the truth of it. The people in charge that we keep voting in have nothing in common with the common citizen. These guys are part of the small group of wealthy and elite whom don't play by the same rules. They aren't going into politics to help you or anyone else. They care about themselves and their wallets.

Oh and Romney barley created any job anywhere but overseas....

Also I how you do believe that the banks needs regulation????? If not we need to have a talk about how the recession started.

That's really unfortunate and I wasn't going to respond because I didn't want to seem uncaring (remember I'm a liberal). But that's just one family. The fact is Obama's job creation record is pretty good since about mid-2009. The right wing thought Obama's record was going to be a good place to attack him but that hasn't panned out. I was so happy when they smacked it down at the convention and said we aren't running from our record, it's as good or better than what Republicans have done.

Its' amazing that the DNC had every living Democratic President represented at the convention and the republicans were hiding all of theirs. That is very telling about how successful the Republicans have been at running the country. You all can call me ignorant or stupid or whatever but thems the facts, goggle it!

But when its your family it hurts. My husband had worked for this company for 19 years. He was let go in a downsize. My son had to move back in after living away from home for 4 years. I've taken on a full time job and still kept my part time job. To say I'm tired is an understatement. I can give you a few examples of my friends who are also having a rough time. My very sweet and dear friend of 13 years just lost their house that they lived in for 14 years. A fellow rider in our neighborhood is now working 2 jobs to make ends meet. One of my house cleaning clients also had his hours cut back. He's an engineer, not some one you would expect to be struggling. Maybe its just the area I live in but its not all sunshine here. Many folks around me are hurting. Food prices, gas and utilities have all gone up.
We are living pretty basic. No vacations or leisure time activities. Our big outing for the week is watching our son play in band at halftime during his high school football game. Please forgive me for not Googling how well the rest of the country is doing. I'm busy trying to keep my family housed and feed.
And for the record I don't think you are ignorant, we just have different views and experiences that have formed our opinions of what we believe to be true. How boring would this be if we all thought the same?

Carter was thre by video. He is as old a GHB and has had several strokes. By asking if Gore was there are you admitting that he actually beat Busand is therefore an expresident?

Well I won't debate with you as I really wish things will turn around for you and your family. My next door neighbor quite his job 3 years ago and started his own business. Things were a bit tight but they were makng it. He didn't have healthcare because he couldn't afford it with the business. He is only 47 and pretty healthy, no smoking and moderate drinking. He found out a couple weeks ago he has stage 4 cancer. It will ber the end of his family.

All I can do is offer my prayers. :please::please:

Obama personally blocked a project I was going to worth on, as well as many others I know. Just a drop in the bucket right...

Maybe if you take your GOGGLE fact checking and look around youll realize stats don't matter, who makes them does.

What's telling to me is maybe by hiding their mistakes the reps have learned from mistakes, dems choose to ignore theirs made by prior presidents.

LA (lower AL) seems to be struggling pretty bad Dawn. Our business is down too. Give that big lug of yours a hug for me.

And the republican obstruction machine killed about $400,000,000 in construction contracts my company had spend $600,000 to win and was counting on. That's going to mean cutting 25-30 people. There's plenty of pain to go around.

How is that it's more tax on the rich, when the Bush tax cuts also gave a tax Decrease to the middle class? It's convenient how, now, we are 'raising taxes on the middle class at the expense of the rich', when the Bush tax cuts benefited both? You can't have it both ways. Either both got the benefit or neither did.

The truth is, you want to RAISE taxes on the upper earners, but no one else, because it FEELS GOOD to stick it to those you envy. Some of those upper earners are ready to contribut more, but NOT UNLESS THEY SEE EVERYONE ELSE SHARING THE LOAD, and that's not what's happening today. Sooner or later, you will kill the goose with the golden egg, and then we'll ALL be indigent - but of course, that would make you FEEL GOOD, because everybody would be EQUALLY POOR.

You have a man in office that used his 'minority status' to gain his opportunity for an education, paid for with TAX DOLLARS EARNED by someone else, Who never ran a business or made a payroll, who thinks he's smarter about business than A businessman who made MILLIONS? Romney didn't close any plant or sell any asset that wasn't in need of SELLING, because if it had been worth more to keep it open, he WOULD HAVE. You forget that companies don't solely exist to provide salaries or jobs for their employees, they exist to make a profit for their OWNERS. Normally those things kinda go hand in hand, but not always, and that's just the way it is.

In 2008, we had two choices, keep everyone at the same pay and hours, and lose our azz, or let some people go in order to save the jobs we could while still remaining in the black. We chose to save what we could. I'm sorry some of those people lost their jobs, and we gave them severance and a good recommendation, and all of them found jobs elsewhere. It is what it is, a matter of SURVIVAL. A lot of companies didn't get it, and are now GONE.

Oh, you bet I think that banks need some regs, but the Frank/Dodd act (all 700 pages requiring regulations from 20 agencies) has created a monster that none of them could fathom. The big banks (who for the most part were the worst offenders) have teams of layers and lobbiests working for them, but the small local, community and regional banks, who were not for the most part those who were guilty of the shennanigans that would have brought down the system, but were bailed out by the government have literally been drowned in the new requirements.

At one time, investment banks and 'regular' banks were separated by regulation, and we need to go back to that, as NO bank should ever be TOO BIG TO FAIL, and most Tea Party supporters agree with that. Most Tea Party members are small, independent business people who dug and scraped their way to some measure of success, not the big corporate entities that the liberals like to label them as.
