I like all this over WHELMING Mustang enthusiasm...  Kinda gets me excited.   (No NOT in that way)...

I'll tell ya, I was at a dyno day with Truwrecks and there was a guy with a blown black on black GT that put down 429HP to the rear tires...    OMG THE SOUND that thing made....

I was kind of hooked right then and there.  What I like about the Idea of a Ford is repair costs, modifications costs, and hell replacement costs if I blow up a motor.
Too many people NEVER just go and buy the most outrageous car of the dreams...go for it Bro...blower, exhaust, suspension, brakes, tires + wheels...

Have some FUN DUDE

fugg'em if they don't like it...anybody that doesn't like the new Mustang's are just hatin' life

Speaking of dyno pulls, here is one of the most obscene ones I've ever heard. Granted the car is out of most mortal's price bracket but what a sick car!!! It's an F40.

Wait until 2008 and buy a new Dodge Challenger.

Just a suggestion but it sounds like you are tired of the Mazda's lack of room and want a new toy.

My MIL is a Ford salesperson and brought home an 06 GT one weekend. Needless to say I appropriated the keys for a test drive. I have had an SVO and two 5 liters, but the 4.6 never appealed to me. I was pleasantly suprised by the 06. It had more power and refinement than I was expecting. Not enough room in it for me, (I'm 6'6"), but that's the only gripe I had.

Oh Yeah, I'd love too but I just know that the dealers are going to be raping folks for the first year or so and I suspect Chrysler will have them priced a tad higher than i am willing to spend for a domestic car.

Would love a Challanger or the New Toyota Supra. But I figure I can build me a Mustang that will hang with these other cars for not as much money.

I'd go for Mustang (or maybe Charger).
Check out Ford of Kirkland, they usualy have the largest selection
and lowest prices, just watch their ads in friday paper.
(By the way, I don't work for them and never bought anything from them)

Rev cruise on up to Bickford and check out the Saleen’s! While I could not afford one I do like the looks of the Modded Mustangs. The stockers would definitely need some new shoes though! The wheel well gaps on the stocker are out of proportion and you need a big wheel to get things back in focus. But once you do the new Mustang looks sweet! Maybe even a set of lowering springs thrown in for good measure. I’ll stick with my 93 Cobra for now though. I still love the torque of that thing!

If you are looking at something to mod and be a real play car, go with the Stang. As stated the aftermarked rocks with all sorts of items.

You mentioned a BMW.....we have one a 325i. Great car but soooooo expensive to mod. A simple cat back exhaust is $600.......

Mustang and call it a day, bro.

Huge aftermarket for go-fast goodies, pretty cheap as well.

Not to mention that they just look plain out sick. And comfy, too. That lil v6 I was toolin around in when we met up was on the road since 9 that morning.

God...I loved turning off the traction control and whippin through the turns. It won't handle like it's on rails, but the torque and growl are enough to make up for that.

For me, at any rate.

I've been looking myself. I've bought 7 new Fords over the last 16 years and have decided I don't want a mustang. I want a two seater. My suggestion is, get whatever you want today, you may not be around tomorrow.

Go for the mustang, I just lowered one today-it looks KILLER. The Saleens are really nice-not cheap. At the place I work at, we have 4 left, they are not selling to well this year. I got to drine a Shelby GT500-killer car if you can get your hands on one(500 hp, brembo brakes-it awesome). What ever you get have fun...

I forgot to mention, I drove one of those new GTO's the other day. That thing was insane. I've never driven another car with that kind of power. It's still not what I want.

Rev,

I dont normaly pitch in on car talks because there are so many out there and everyone has there own taste.

I have to say this. AUDI RS4. all wheel drive turbo family car with over 420Hp stock and can carry you, the wife, and the clubs and still walk all over any mustang you might come across thats street leagel.

Its kinda pricey but like BA said. Splurge. Its worth it.

This car is a pimp and thats all there is.

I am a BMW lover. I like the Rx`s. Mustangs are just played out in my book.

The Audi is power and looks.

That audi is nice and all.... but its base MRSP is 66 thousand bucks. That's not even close to being in the same class as the mustang/rx8 he's talking about.
