ROADTOAD's new ride

Will be taking both the Zed14 and the Busa down to weigh in , just going to fit up a couple of pieces to the Kawasaki before that goes , so the Busa is next .

507 lbs? That is incredibly light!
Fully tanked , oils etc. , on road , pretty happy with it . Man it is fun to ride , such a blast , feels so low to the ground compared to KTM . I still got the new Yoshi tank to fit up , and I plan on a couple more refinements , but this is basically a streetbike , so got to function for what I want , basically this is about it for the Bus .

Hi. Very very nice. My wish of 450 lbs os out thewindow now as the turbo and intercooled intake is 60 lbs with out the header and me not getting down to 135 lbs.

That is heavy duty turbo and intercooler , u cannot compromise on that setup for sure . Your thing will still be a fully considered , weight loss pro build Mike . A most masterful , meticulous study of ultra power motor and ultra weight reduction chassis , an ultra build Busa . Will be respected always as that and more .

Hi. Did you see that we will be raising the swingarm up 12mm? I would like to have the hot side made of Ti and the cold side made in CF. Also a lot of AM 132 metal matrix Al ɓe met. Like F 1 used.

230 … I could live with that. With all those special parts, I would even do a trackday with it.
Yes , I like race replicas , so the bike features street / semi track components where able . Interestingly , a good friend , @Ac41 punts a street Busa with some shared components to my thing , though he is absolutely the best track rider I have seen punting a Busa . Check this footage !

That would be very trick , is raising the swingarm pivot beneficial to stability at the high speed you are aiming for ?
Hi. No it is a Pro Street XDA thing . What it does is the chan pushes the tire in to the ground for better traction. Eric at DAS who I'd helping me ran at Loring on an older GXR with a busa fairing and the long tail like Bill Warner had. He went around 266 MPHBut the rear wheel speed was 310. That is why I will ɓe keeping track of my rear tire temp.

That wheelspin heat is scary enough talking about it , hard to imagine coping with that worry at speed . Have you decided on tire choice , I think I remember you saying the choice for over 270kph officially rated tires is limited to none ?

His videos are what I use to dispel the myth Hayabusas aren't good for anything except straight lines.....

They have opened quite a few unbelieving eyes....

Busa isnt the first bike that comes to mind when most folk are talking canyon carvers , as we know ... But , as you know Sarge and some others such enlightened , AC41 rides that beast of a Busa real hard and extracts everything its got , and in fact has found that he is now fairly resticted by the lack of bodywork clearance lent over .... Still plays on track with pro BSB riders etc. such is his skill level .

It is a wide beastie for sure.....

Your beastie would be on par with @Ac41 's bike as you both have the same mods done to them....

Mine has "poor man's" mods but is quite capable as well...the Progressive and Gold Tech internals in the forks and Progressive rear shock with 55 rear tire makes mine turn in pretty quick as well. What holds me back are the crappy roads around here that are more suited for an adventure tour bike than a sport bike....

When my older brother took mine for a ride he was both surprised at how light it was and well it went through corners....not to mention how it accelerates.....of course he rides a BMW RT so it is a vast difference in bikes to compare to.

Lol, yep
The right side of the engine case sits out further than the left.
My Gen2's right lower fairing over the clutch, had an egg size and shaped scrape from dragging the road, which was something I had to quickly become aware of and not do, as the fat girl couldn't lean like a 1k.
I did my friend's red 06 gen1 that way when he first got it new too.
The Busa handles exceptionally well, all the way into the crash range, lol

My thing shares base components with AC41 bike , we both use Ohlins FGRT208 fork , TTX36 shock , Brembo GP4-RX Calipers with RCS pumps . Anthony runs Brembo Z04 Pads and T-Drive 310mm rotors , I use Braketechs 330mm items with ceramic pads . My clutch is stock plates , hd springs , brock center . Anthony runs a full slipper clutch , a Sutur clutch , much needed for road racing application . I use a Brocks CT Meg full ti exhaust , AC41 runs a steel Yoshi pipe . AC41 beast rolls on Dymag forged aluminum wheels whereas my thing has BST hoops . Both have Aluminum subframes quick shifters . AC41 bike is the best race setup of the 2 bikes , both his and my thing on street are more even , my bike might be a bit lighter . For sure tho , he coulld have a lot of fun on both , but his , with slipper clutch , is the business on track . A few pics of AC41 BEAST
