Russia and Ukraine

Yes the Russians gave him a nice burial. They said they identified him from his missing finger and dna right? So where’s the pic of him? No matter how mangled let’s see it.
No worry he’ll pop up in Syria again like he did last time he died. Rofl
This sounds so much like the murder of Bin Laden, buried at sea under secrecy so we never know for certain if he was killed or not, just have to take the US forces' word for it I guess. . .
And how does his lovely family feel about him not receiving a muslim funeral?? Or do they not care coz he's hiding out at their palace???
Soooooooooooo many conspiracies and so little time . . . . .

Pretty much everyone knew Prigozhin was a dead man walking after he crossed Putin....it was only a matter of time.

It seems everyone who opposes a dictator like Putin meets their maker.
How are you or we absolutely sure he did in fact cross Putin? This whole assassination of Prigozhin is based on that. I still doubt he ever had any intent on a coup. It’s laughable. To me it was a feint, a distraction concocted by both of them. Putin is playing global war and he ain’t stupid.
Never was a coup. And he’s still alive.
Ha!

Maybe, maybe not...

Only the fact that he led his band of mercenaries towards Moscow is the only evidence he crossed Putin....

We'll see...I'm not sure what gain there would be to feign his death...

Led them toward Moscow only to wind up in Belarus. That was a feint. A distraction.
I seriously doubt a man who’s been Putins personal friend for decades tried to cross him or March on Moscow.
Cmon man!

I've noticed the war is beginning to fade into the background more and more, there is very little coverage of it these days.

Ukraine launched a counter offensive but there isn't a lot of data on how it is progressing other than a little blurb here and there....

One would think with all the advanced weapons, tech and training Ukraine received they would have blown through the Russian defensive lines like butter.....especially since Russia basically rounded up a bunch of civilians, fire hose trained them and sent them to the front....

Ukraine should have been able to demolish these units...

Russia had a long time to dig in and that has made a difference. I think the lack of tech hurt Ukraine. Who advances without some level of air superiority? I still think all of the advances in battle tech prove it's now easier to defend than to be the aggressor.

The lack of air support certainly has the drawback of advancing for sure...

All the talk of providing F-16s will do little in gaining that air superiority and without this, close ground attack aircraft can't do their job.....as they fly low and slow.

However, the Ukraines have been provided with advanced weapon systems which can negate that air superiority and with a very rapid attack, they can get behind the curtain of Russian air superiority negating it's effectiveness....once you get into the enemy lines, they can't attack from the air...

It proves that even with all the free tech handed out, it has to be used effectively for any gains to be made.

Urban warfare is a pretty complicated thing....it's easy to funnel the advancing forces into kill zones making it possible for a small party of laid back defenders to hold up entire columns....we are seeing this here....but there are work arounds that aren't being executed.....most likely due to lack of training and experience.

We will keep pouring $$ into it. Nothing will stop that.

And now add pouring $$ into the latest news event of the earthquake in Morocco.

Murica.

That's the beauty of capitalism! We give to Ukraine so they can buy weapons from American companies. The longer this goes the more money that's transferred from "us" to our private sector. In the meantime, Ukraine is testing out stuff and feeding real-time battle testing that would have taken decades to get - assuming we could get it at all without direct involvement in a shooting war.

Yes, that's cynical and probably more than a little immoral. But we don't live in the world we want to live in, we live in the world we've got.

You would make a good pentagon spokesman. :)
You’re right. Our defense industry is loving this.

You just said the key phrases that our current admin doesn't want anyone to figure out if they don't talk about it.

Everything we provide is handed over. We aren't getting a dime from Ukraine.

And I saw recently they are already framing up re-construction efforts.

Ukraine won't pay for that either.

Day by day minute by minute we are one step closer to a much larger war.
The democrats will make it happen soon enough so it’ll be a complete distraction from Bidens ineptitude.

Soon the weather will make the Ukrainian counter offensive grind to a halt....that clay based soil sucks when it gets wet....

This will give the Ruskies more time to build their defensive and perhaps plan their own counter offensive.....
