We all know pretty much what we all have or could have. There is a process of evaluating what is possible with known materials and processes that will predict where "breakthroughs" will happen. We can look at a Chinese 5th gen fighter and know what they know about aerodynamics, control systems, and stealth. For example, if a Chinese aircraft is basically aerodynamically unstable based on its shape, we know they have advanced control systems. That doesn't mean there aren't surprises, but usually not huge ones.

When I said "we" I didn't mean the public. When something gets stolen, we find out it's stolen and look for evidence to confirm they have it and more importantly can reproduce it. I have heard that the Russians figured out the F-117 stealth fighter would not be as stealthy as it is based on its shape only (which they photographed at air shows). This told them it had a coating. They know what material absorbs radar so now they have stealth coatings. We may underestimate how close something is to being operational, but very little just falls out of the sky to surprise everyone.

I find it kind of odd he'd divulge information such as that....one would think that sort of technology would be a little more guarded.

I've seen technology at use that I will not/can not divulge.

We already have laser stability systems working now. Its the refinement phase. Once employed and witnessed the enemy will figure out quickly that higher technology has arrived.

How long after the 1st bombing of Bagdad did it take the Iraq military to figure they couldn't see the F 117 at night on radar?

Hi. I think that Biden is handling this perfectly. He is doing this to help all the green people. By making gas prices so high that most people can not afford to drive there cars it will help save the world from global warming. Russian oil is only about 2% of what we buy. Sanctioning it will hurt Europe a LOT more.

If he were smart, he'd be asking all the U.S. energy interest to crank up the shuttered wells here. That will take some time for them to come online. Russia appears to be ready to make this a long game for them.

I guess that is one way to say you support Biden. What are the real numbers for how many barrels a day we are buying from Russia ? Is it 209,000 x $115 a barrel? Is that enough chump change to partially support a war effort for Russia? Plus, plenty of other petroleum products are also being bought daily from Russia... Nothing like aiding an enemy committing horrible acts on a neighboring country by doing business with them... is there? Meanwhile Ukraines people are being slaughtered by the shelling in advance of troop movements as Putin's army takes control of more land. The Russian people? How are they suffering other than living under a communist regime? Are they under a multi pronged attack that is laying waste to the land and buildings and the killing of innocent people like we see in Ukraine? Hurting Europe? Those countries have known who Putin is for a long time. They keep climbing in bed with a man that needs to be put to sleep. I wonder if he is listening to his cabinet anymore? We could have helped supply Europe with oil for some time now had the diplomacy been crafted to make it happen.

Biden isn't asking or permitting American oil producers to produce oil domestically... its likely a conflict of interest in some strange way given the history of Biden and the Ukraine when they were involved with Burisma and a billionaire oil man from Russia. It will probably be along time before we ever know what is really going on that was reported by the lying and deceptive MSM.

A lot of wells have already been drilled here in the USA and all that needs to happen with those is for the well heads to be opened and the crude oil hauled to refineries. With the price of oil so high I am sure the oil companies that possess those wells are fully ready to resume production. In the Bakken oil field in North Dakota wells can be drilled in weeks. Multiple wells ( up to 16 ) can be drilled from one location and the rigs are now on skids and can be moved a short distance and multiple wells can be drilled again without rigging down. In the Bakken its not whether or not your going to strike a formation that produces oil... its only a matter of how much each well will produce. On top of that the Bakken field produces the cleanest crude in the world which translates into cheaper production of product and less pollution. We don't need foreign oil... and we don't need to be getting oil from countries that despise us.

My former partner just went back to ND to supply water for frack jobs that are scheduled to begin again. 4 trucks going 6 days a week 20+ hours a day at 145 an hour. Its a feast and famine business with instability happening all to often... getting it while he can.
