How can you be so sure all of this will happen? hasn't Bydun done great harm to the country as a democrat? If he goes down with legal problems that will taint the Dems even more. If he was really even polling 20% I would be surprised... but the polls will never tell you that.
Biden has no accomplishments, only unmitigated disasters.

It's a very easy exercise to look back at this and make assumptions and conclusions...

In the beginning of this pandemic, there were many unknown variables-too many to draw the conclusions you seem to have.....

The sad part of it all is there was an exercise on how the media can put a scare into people and they were very successful as shown in your statement of people driving by themselves wearing a mask or walking alone on a sidewalk wearing one....

In the end, we were very lucky Covid was not a deadly bio agent like Ebola or some other contagion....

The citizens of Ukraine could only hope the only issue they had was having to wear a mask and deal with Covid protocols....I'll bet that whole situation looks pretty bland to them now.......

We in our countries have very little to complain about.

Putin doesn't fear or respect Biden and this administration. High priced oil is fueling Putins war machine and his conquest of Ukraine.

Biden is to compromised and will not allow American energy producers to produce on the scale where we are oil independent and exporting

petroleum products to other countries which will bring down the profits of Russian oil. That will make a huge impact on Putins ability to wage

war if oil prices drop.

Reagan defeated Russia by waging an economic war that a totalitarian ( communist ) government can't win because of the gross

inefficiencies of central control and command used by tyrants.... just check the history of tyrants that lost wars.

Depending on what source you believe it sounds like the Ukraine army is out gunned by the Russian army and getting hit hard.

Just look at the Donbas region now... its just one of several total wastelands of Russian destruction in Ukraine.

Those air raid sirens when Bydun met with Zelenskyy in Kiev recently and nobody on the Secret Service team moved a muscle sent a clear

message to the world that Bydun is just another clown attempting to look like a super hero in front of TV cameras. .

Our country has the weakest leadership ever seen since Jimmy Carter in the 70s. This kind of weakness is also giving other countries that

oppose us the motivation to act up in all the ways that the world doesn't need or want.

Can't believe I'm typing this but here goes.

Good post Zerks. In our press frenzy hopium to make Biden look promising they tauted his sanctions as the game ender for Russia. But an 8th grader could read that their number one revenue stream remained untouched and Russia quickly maneuvered the Ruble right around the sanctions. It's up 42% in value than it was when this started.

Soon we will see German tanks taking on Russian tanks.....

Even though we've already seen NATO weapons and tactics (through training) take on Russian assets.....and win by a huge margin.....
 
I imagine people here watched the Star Trek from the '60s.....

I was talking to a nerd friend of mine and he mentioned one of the '60s episodes was about a parallel earth in which there were "Yangs and Congs" Yankees and communists I guess...and there was some sort of world war fought and was still being fought only the "Yangs" were more like native Americans fighting with bow and arrow and spears and the "Congs" were similar...I kind of remember the episode and the ending where Kirk and his gang were captured and at their sentencing, the head "Yang" was reading from the US constitution and when Kirk started reciting it, the head "Yang" was freaked out...

Kind of ironic seeing as how China and the US are now "sabre rattling"

 
Training on the M1 tanks is now happening in Germany. Can't wait to see how the Ukrainians handle these. I think they're going to have great success against the Russian tanks. The challenge is maintenance but I think they will do just fine. Still think we need to get them some planes. Heard the Poles were giving them a bunch of migs but haven't heard if that has happened. Hope Biden isn't screwing that up due to his fears of Putin.

The Ukrainians have done training on the Leopard 2A6 and Challengers-both of which are a match for the Abrams and more than a match for Russian armor if they have first kill...the optics on the western tanks are vastly superior to what the Russians have.

I read that it would take considerably more time and effort to train the Ukraines on western fighters...it's one thing to fly them, it's a whole other thing to fight them....

Then there's the missile systems they use and that logistical and expense nightmare to sort out along with the targeting assets they need to get the weapon systems on targets.

Perhaps on the fighters but they need to get up to NATO standards for the future anyway. I would think that training an experienced mig pilot is a lot easier than training a guy with no experience.

What about the migs from Poland? I haven't heard anything about it since Poland announced they were giving them. I believe there were supposed to be about 30 MIG 29s. That would help a lot I think

The main problem they have is the Mig 29s don't have the look forward radar range the newer Russian aircraft have. And the missiles they have are only about 40 mile kill range. By the time they get within range the Russians have shot them down.

Don't get me wrong they have used some good strategies thus far, but the Russians still control the airspace.

As B pointed out. They can learn to fly an F-16 in about 2 weeks. But making it a fighter takes way more than that.

I personally think they would be better served teaching them to fly and fight with the A-10s. We are trying to retire them anyway. They can chew up the ground forces pretty easily.
