Ten states on the verge of bankruptcy

I have a question for the republicans, and please give me a truthful answer...

If McCain won the election. We all know the economy would still be this bad, we would still be in this war, states would still be going bankrupt, unemployment would still be the highest.

Who would you blame then?? Who would you point your fingers at??? (im not trying to prove a point, im just curious. Im not a R or a D or an Independent. I respect a lot of you, im just curious what you guys think)
 
I've said it before I'll say it again. It is our fault we let them do what they want it's a lot easier to complain than it is to take action. We need to start over the current system is not fixable due to the extent of abuse and special interests involved. What I would like to see is specifically where all the state budget is going. I want a line by line breakdown of it all then we'd see how much fat there truely is.
 
It would be nice if all bills were made public before passing, and line item veto was enforced at the local levels. If the public knew and cared about were the taxes were being spent they would have a revolution. All states have baggage to trim. They need to start at the top and trim down, not the other way.

Neither the GOP or Dems are qualified to run this country. Both are broken! They have the same goal, different methods.

You might be right, but:

1) I don' t think there would be movement towards socialized health care and the trillions it's proposed to cost

2) I would hope the republicans would see the error in their ways and start cutting programs to match the current revenues.

3) Don't think they would have spent nearly as much on bailout as Obama intends to.

4) Don't think we'd be pussyfooting around on this Afganistan thing, either in it to win it or get out. The Surge was "in it to win it" at it's finest.

I also expect the DEMS would wail/scream/fight ever single step to make McCain look as bad as the Republicans are trying to make Obama look, in order to get an advantage on capturing seats for their party at the next election cycle.

If its not one thing its another.. Obama wants heath care.. McCain would have wanted to spend more on the war to "win it" like you said. Spending money is spending money... You dont believe in this heath care act (neither do i).. but i dont believe in the war either. looks like im getting screwed no matter whos in office. We all know this war isnt about the attacks...This government has another agenda we dont even know about. So why support a secret?

Obama is trying to save "the american auto companies" How can you bash the man for giving money to americans to help save american jobs, thats a catch 22.. Hate the man cause hes helping, hate the man more causing hes helping too much. .. youre lucky it wasnt me in office. I would have let them fail. Why the hell do you want to GIVE money to a company who doesnt make a quality product??

Ohhh, in it to win it... So why did Bush focus all the troops on afganistan and then move them to another country... why not finish one job first before moving to another??

What you mean you should actually finish the job before moving on to the next one??? . you mean I shouldn't drain the oil in my bike only fill it halfway then ride it and then put more in :poke:. Yeah it pretty much sucks no matter which way it is and the only thing any of them really care about is their personal bank roll $$$$. So Tony I've been meaning to ask what exactly is the Big Blue Burrito anyway.

Bin Laden was in Afghanistan.. But we jumped over to Iraq before the job in Afghanistan was even completed.

Republicans realize govt screws up everything and the smaller
govt is, the less intrusive the better.

Dems think we need a program ($$$$) for everything, live in a pink sky
world where no one is responsible for their own situation or actions.

He want Government Control of EVERYTHING. Cap and trade and healthcare

Forget the fact that 80% of Americans don't want the

Forget the fact that the dollar hit a new low, and this before Obama prints
another trillion+ dollar to give more freebees to the worthless and burden our
already sagging businesses with more responsibility...(You can't print more money
without the money you have losing value, why is that a diffuctl concept)
or the new taxes that
will continue and CONTINUE to the point of making land ownership a thing of
the past. As the federal govt' spent billions of bailout money to allow banks
to stay in business so they can continue to forclose....who do you think will
ultimately own your forclosed house...don't be surprised if it's the federal govt'.

Make no mistake about it, Obama is about taking your freedoms on the way to
a world govt'...of which is probably his true asperation.

I am surprised that North Carolina was not on that list. With the crap the city of Roanoke Rapids pulled with their little 21 million dollar Blue Grass Gay Randy Parton Theater (Gay). Tax increase wont help that one. This country in the current situation is in because of a war it could not afford and a history of dealings that it should not have let happen. Know that the spoils of war have been enjoyed it is time to pay the bill. Don't go crying now. The signs were there and ignored, the wrong doings were done and cant be undone. So sad!
 
To clairify my McCain statement:
I have tremendous respect for McCain, he made of much tougher stuff
than I. Had I been subjected to a daily regement of true torture and been
given an oppurtunity to end it and leave...and McCain chose to remain.

As far as a President, McCain is not my first choice nor do I agree with all
his philosophies but his love of country I don't think can be questioned.
I think he was a far far better choice than the overseeeing socialist hell we
are headed for. Anyone want to point out a sucessful example of a
Socialist or Communist country that actuall works or has people that are
NOT trying to get out of. Socialism is the absense of FREEDOM and pushes
everyone down to the lowest common denominator.

Obama has zero love of this country and the things that made it great. He
has a completely different agenda.

Anyone think Obama would volunteer to stay if being tortured by the Vietnamese?
He will run us down and sell us out to the rest of the world, and
that's from the white house not a hotbox in the jungle.
