I have the CF HMF high mount also, my friend had to go get pipes because he couldn't hear his stock pipe busa over mine when we rode lol. best sounding and looking Busa pipes made IMHO.

Are the HMF's as loud as D&D's?

That is what I had on my 00, at first I didn't think they were very loud, after some time, I came to form a different opinion.

Best sounding Busa, mine sounded like an old high perf race car, didn't even sound like a bike.

I miss my D&Ds, the carbon does sound different and the only way to go.

Lota Fun R ...i've got the D&D polished alum. ....think'n the same thing . They're not that loud . A guy told me the other day , after about 1,000 miles , they really open up and growl ! True
