I don't know if the extra noise helps or not . I've been run into twice in 19 years ....one lady said that she heard the bike , but didn't see me . She merged over on me and sideswipped me . The other woman was oblivious to everything , before she turned left in front of me . Said she never saw or heard me .

Lota Fun R ...i've got the D&D polished alum. ....think'n the same thing . They're not that loud . A guy told me the other day , after about 1,000 miles , they really open up and growl ! True

yup, the cf cans have a deeper tone though.

after a few k miles the sound changes and you'll love it.
