Weather Where You Are

It is Still yet to get hot in Va!
Coldest June in 35 years!
50's and 60's at night, and 60's and 70's during the day.
This is our 6th straight day of rain, but it's stopped for now, with a little more on the way.
It's supppsed to be sunny tomorrow...supposed to be, lol

....and here we are way in the north having 100'F days with high humidity....and no rain now for 2 weeks...it's drier than a popcorn fart in January around here....

We need rain bad right now.

70s here but this is a pic from a week or so back of the Tioga Pass over the Sierras inside Yosemite, a few miles up the road.

It's so smoky out there today it looks like fog....and spending any time outside leave you smelling like you were sitting beside a campfire....

Looks like a good day to find things to do inside...

Had a micro burst go through last night, it tore up lots of trees and took the neighbor's trampoline for a ride...it picked it up, threw it over the fence and pushed it across the street where it came to rest mangled in a tree....it took out their neighbor's hydro meter on the way by....

I was out helping out neighbors until well after dark....the only damage we had was a large umbrella on our deck was shredded.....and only seconds before that I was out securing it...I had just come back into the house when I looked out and saw it get torn apart...

Looks like a summer of wild fire smoke...we have another smog advisory until Friday or Saturday....

I say if they find out some of these wild fires were set deliberately or due to negligence, the person or persons responsible should be hung...,,publicly....

Hot days are coming around here but check out the low temps in DV early next month. Low temps above 100. That means that after hours of darkness at 4-5 am it’s still HOT!

Whew, Mother Nature is very angry today...it's raining so hard right now that I can't see past my yard and it looks like a fog has rolled in from the amount of rain falling...

And then the thunder and lightning...it's rattling the house right now....

Fun, fun, fun!!!

Always good to be prepared.....
I figured after the nightmare I went through getting in line for hours to get 3 sheets of plywood (they were limited per person) to protect my windows and seeing how is only going to get worse with the ridiculous amount of northerners/Californians/Texans moving down here, it was in my best interest to purchase aluminum shutters and put in a few hours of work installing anchors around my windows to make shutter installation an easy task next time I need them. The amount of new homes is so overwhelming that we are starting to see a drop in water pressure and can’t run the sprinklers at certain times of the day or the low pressure prevents them from popping up all the way. Electric bill has also gone up due to an adjustment in price to help fund upgrades the company is having to do the grid to support the thousands of new homes. I feel for whoever can’t prepare ahead of time for when the next storm hits, because supplies won’t last long with the crowd we have down here now.
Sorry for the rant…………

My sister says the same thing....she has lived there for at least 30 yrs now and bought hurricane shutters for the same reasons..
She lives in Dade City and has her own water tower and generator...

I get a chuckle out of her, she's all of 5 feet tall, drives a Ram 3500 diesel and often pulls her horse trailer all over the place to go to events-she's a tough cookie.

I absolutely love dade city/Brooksville and spend more time in that area than in my own neighborhood. My best friend lives there and I’m always checking for properties around there but, unfortunately, they started building a fancy neighborhood with one of those fake beaches and even added an extra exit ramp off interstate 75 to handle the crowd. It was pretty sad to see all the residents putting signs by their property’s gates expressing their disappointment with the builders destroying the tranquility and beauty of that countryside. I was told a lot of residents tried to stop it to no avail. Only good thing for your sister is that her property value will continue to go up.
