Weather Where You Are

There has been a heavy fog each and every morning for the past 2 weeks now......the kind of fog that reduces visibility down to 50 meters or so and it doesn't fully burn off until 1000 or so....

Sadly when the "fog season" is over.....frost season will be upon us.....then one yellow beast is replaced with another that I have to walk behind....

High 20’s in the mornings to low 40’s for highs. Lots of frost every day, but no snow luckily. It’s coming though. I did hit snow coming back up to Alaska from Texas, left out of Fort Nelson headed to Watson Lake and ended up driving through about 3” of slick wet snow with my 48’ trailer behind the dually. NOT FUN!!

As I type, everything outside is white with a heavy frost.......

I scraped the windows for the wife to go to work...

One thing about having all LED lights on her Edge is that they don't melt the frost and I didn't want to scrape the lenses in case I scratch them so I sprayed them with spray bottle full of winter windshield washer...

This cooler weather has turned me into an afternoon rider ~ not going outside in the mornings or nighttime •

Low 50’s and overcast here. With the right gear I could ride, but anything under 60° and traction seems a little suspect to me. Could be the Supercorsas.
I agree, once the surface temperature of the pavement drops to a certain degree, taking a bike out is a risk of the tires losing traction...

Even modern performance cars struggle with this....my friend's Mustang has a recommendation in the owner's manual to not run the stock tire brand at a temp of 7'C or lower.

lol
It was 37°F here this morning, and is 54 now.
I didn't have to take kids to school today because of Thanksgiving, and was going to ride the Gsxr to work, but slept in a little too long to get ready in time.
Tire spin on cold roads is fun, lol, I just slow down the curve speed and wait longer for tires to heat up.
I just adjust for the conditions, and temperatures don't tend to bother me until well below freezing, but I am more cautious of slick roads then too.

Beautiful mild sunny day, light winds, 23degC.
Out riding today on F750GS BMW, apparently has oil leak (surprise surprise) and I gotta ride it for a couple hours after cleaning the oil off the engine and then recheck it.
It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it I guess lmao!
Here’s a couple of shots on my ride “to diagnose oil leaks”

Acceleration is great but curve speed is the real reason I ride. I speed up for them!
