Hi. Now that I have the clutch I can start replacing all the steel bolts that I can with Ti. The quick change cover on this is built a lot stronger than a regular lock up cover. That is for the boost assist. If you look on MTCs web site you will not find this clutch! You know it's a real problem when you order bare Titanium stock to produce parts unavailable.
Ps titanium side stand spring in rainbow unicorn !

Now all need to finish the motor is a spacer plate, bearings and gaskets.
This is my first post as I am a new user on here. Today I did my 3rd oil change of the season (been putting some miles on her this summer lolz). Also my rocker switch went out last week so I put a new one in with some new wire connectors. The smell of the gen 1 after an oil change (Nothing like the smell of excess oil burning off the exhaust). Good day I would say!

Hi. That is it every detail every nut and bolt looked at. I just received my Gen 2 lock up clutch with boost assist. Now to find out what bolts I can replace with Ti or aluminum. I have started to work on me now. I would like to get back to my weight that I was in Nam 133 to 135 lbs I am 5 ft 7 inches with a 31 inch waist. I am 164.5 lbs now. So with race gear I want to be 155 to 158 lbs. After long search for about a year located aluminum course thread screws to replace oem air box units. They were 6 mm to long but it cut off easily. End result, and 0.9 almost a full ounce off . .

Where in Canada are you ? Maybe close to Bill @Bumblebee @clean or others in the great north area . Like the seatHi everyone, finally took the time to join up. I have a 08 with just over 55,000 miles. I take care of her so she runs like it's brand new.
Just sent my wheels out for powder coat and and will be putting some new barrings and Q3+ tires once I get them back. Also took the time to get some 90 degree valve stems to make it easier to check tire pressure.
As for today was bored since I couldn't ride so finally took off the mirrors and put some blockers and installed a barend mirror. I think it looks cleaner now. I'll attempt trying to attach some before and after pics of the machine.
Can't wait to get the wheels back next week so I can get some more seat time while it's still warm at night up here. Anyway, the rest of you ride safe and enjoy one of the greatest bikes ever made!
Much love,
Uncle Jester
