What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

Yep sure is, all bodywork is original from 2008 minus the tank of course. Fairings get a yearly cut and polish on top of cleaning after every ride.

I will admit I actually clean my busa at the car wash. I'm careful not to direct a full strength stream at it and I don't shoot into the fairing holes. But it works great and quick. I know this is supposed to do this but been cleaning my bikes that way for many years. When I saw the iron rust on my house from the hose I quit using that water.

But back to the point, your bike looks amazing!

I used to do that too til i started investing more money into bikes and now they get a daily clean with Plexus only and rarely ridden in the rain.

Going thru the bro's tool box,found these old pliers...good for the spike bolts. The one at the fairing bottom had been horribly brutalized by the previous owner. Rubb's new spike bolt pliers.

Not running quite mint...9000 thou to 12,000+ is not perfect. But I will sort that soon. Just hard to get bench time at my buddies at this time of year. I will do a few bikes for him,get them off the lift...then it'll be mine...all mine...muhhhaaa.

Besides seat recovered today I made my sub frame to rack brackets for the bags . They worked well but I could tell last ride there was bag movement. Wife confirmed riding behind me last weekend. Now its braced, and super strong.

As we're in lockdown, had some time to use up.. Decided a damn good clean in order over the last few days.
Had a good friend call by who did a small spot of wet rubbing, cut, buff and polishing to remove some blemishes.
Hopefully it'll see the road again one day..

OK it wasn't for the busa but I made low profile socket cap bolts for my Pazzos on the 14.

Pro-Bolt only makes regular height tapered socket caps in 5mm Ti so I came up with an idea to make my own low profiles to match the shape of the standard Pazzo bolts.

I cut down aluminum 5mm countersink washers...

and filed and dremmeled them to the diameter of the Ti countersink Pro-Bolts I orderd. I popped them in. Fit perfectly.

Too perfectly. I like the smaller head the Pazzos come with. No problem, I JB welded the washers onto the countersink bolts and then back to the dremmel.

Now I like them. Only problem is that weak finish on the Pro-Bolts Titanium. I'll end up painting these with VHT Flame-Proof Gold. That's the best gold paint there is.

BTW, those are the Zeta Z Ti pivot pins I have mentioned. Great product, highly recommended.

Went out for a ride this morning, when I came back, I noticed the black plastic slider fell off....I went back out and retraced my ride to look for it but imagine it fluttered into the deep grass along the ditch somewhere..

I will probably end up buying a new unit as I figure the chances of just getting the plastic part is zero...

I waited months for this darned thing...

Cleaned the rear wheel and sprocket carrier, swingarm and under tail. Installed new HH pads although the old ones showed little wear. Funny, they always sang out just before a stop. Pressing them together they weren’t exactly flat. Bearings should arrive tomorrow and I’ll make an appt. for them to be installed along with the rotor and tire. Heading into the Park tomorrow on the Z.

Finally fitted a bunch of goodies to the Blue K8 since the current mods weren't fit for my purpose. Freight at the moment is putting a hold on more expensive goodies arriving but once they land,this round of mods should be complete for a little while.

The one mod i am most excited about is a set of Ohlins FGR301 Superbike forks that are arriving from Sweden which runs custom spacers and brackets since it's a universal fork.

They generally come with a silver top yoke but black can be requested and seeing as this bike has darker colours all round,would be weird having it silver.

@Dai. what kind of weight advantage for the RCS 16 clutch master over OEM ? I assume a pressure switch for the ECU to see clutch on / off values ?

What do you think of the Rizoma mirrors? I hate mine but they are so beautiful!!! You can't see behind you at all. I'm going to get a set of gixxer 1K mirrors for fun riding and keep these for showing off.

I actually don't mind them,they definitely aren't Magical Racing quality but still ten folds better then oem. The only reason i opted for these is because of the delay with products coming out of Japan,have others on order but have been advised not to expect a reasonable time frame.
