What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

I stripped her down in preperation of her Xmas present I bought her. Took ages to arrive, but my goodness they're sexy as all fk. Workmanship is brilliant, and so light. Now to wait till after the Xmas break for my local shop to open again to have my tires moved across & balanced.

Those are beautiful Carl, what's the weight on them?? Even if it's just the r1 swap I really wanna do some lighter wheels. Hopefully when the time comes I can afford something as awesome as those are

Talked the other day about putting some bags on my bike. So I figured I would share with you what she looks like loaded up for a trip yesterday!

Yeah, lose the saggy floppin in the breeze saddle bags and get a larger seat bag. 22” is fine. Someone else wanted to see what I use. I made extended ‘bungee’ bolts so the cords don’t have to make such a bend underneath the bag.

I would love to do that, but I was looking for something to stay on the bike all of the time, and still have the passenger seat open.

At some point I want to get a full set of bags and rear rack, so I can still keep the passenger seat open. Plus its not always that I need a passenger, I just like having that space open if I need to carry my backpack.

But yeah, I don't have $700+ dollars to drop on a full system.

I don't know how the rest of you do it, but when I remove the fairings, I also remove the black plastic (Under Center Cowling) that fits around the rad... and the L & R Inner Cowlings that attach to the top of the Under Center Cowling. I have to, because over the summer I broke off some of the plastic connectors that allow those 3 pieces to all click-fit together (an epic weeklong 1,800 mi run that offered some rough roads [video])

So today I permanently connected together those 3 pieces. I should have taken pics but today being a Sunday ... football ...

Here's a diagram:

The bottoms of the Inner Cowling pieces connect to those tabs (red arrows) on the Under Center Cowling. I could have plasti-welded them, but decided zip ties in case I change my mind

Make sense to me...they can be a PITA to take off and on.

My Bell rs1 does a great job of cutting through the wind so I hope it's not a problem because I really like the look and I'm banking on the DB to get this winter air off my chest!

Got all dressed up to go for a ride today when I discovered the rear tire was flat as a pancake........Oh well.......6000 miles on it and it has a nice flat spot anyway.......so on with the new RS.:D

While the bus is down might as well stop procrastinating. The front calipers have been needing attention for awhile now,,,,,,a few of the pistons were sticking and causing uneven pad wear.:beerchug:
