Man, I’ve just been riding it lately and only surface cleaning it. I’ve got to get it on the table and pull the body off and really get to it. But...I don’t wanna!
I replaced the front brake and clutch lever, aired up the tires and looked at the fuse box wondering why my horn and brake light wasn’t working. Then my dad took it for a milk runI've seen and particpated in this type of thread on other forums so just thought I'd give it a try here.
If you guys don't like the idea then feel free to ask the mods to delete it...But it gives you a chance to show off you daily work that sometimes goes unappreciated and may motivate others.
As for me, I replaced the chain and sprockets (+3 on rear) and adjusted the speedohealer accordingly on my busa. It was the first time I replaced a chain myself (usually have the shop do it) and frankly I was surprised how easy it was to break the old chain and rivet the new master link. The entire job took less than two hours.

Triple digit speeds on the way to Piggly Wiggly. What’s a ‘milk run’ entail?
Chain Lube (zen version)
Yes, I use the dupont teflon silicone lube. Have for years. Works great!!Oops, Maxima chain lube. When I get new sprockets and a chain I think I’ll try that Dupont Chain Saver lube. Anyone have any real life experience with it?
Let us know how those bars feel. I have the fatbar street fighter bend and feel as though I need to be a little more upright and hands slightly further back for comfortFinally decided to do the bar swap I have been procrastinating about for years. This will actually be the Fifth iteration of Handlebar setup on this bike! went from Stock>>>Stock + Tall Genmar>>> Tall genmar & Helibars>>>Fatbar (814-01 Streefighter bend)>>>Fatbar (845-50 Street Medium Touring bend). This new bar is a bit narrower, has more rake and a wee bit more rise to it than the previous version, oh and it's gold just for some newness! The old bar was always a little too wide, and not quite enough rake for my tastes, but I couldn't just cut it down due to my grip heaters being stuck to the bar. Still not sure what I am going to do about the grip heaters, I may just buy the Koso Apollo ones I have been looking at, but I am going to attempt to transplant the Heat Demons to the new bar first just in the interest of economy. Also have a new Gear indicator that I am 3D printing a mount for to install at the same time. Time to fire up the shop heater and get to it!
