What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

I'd be really concerned wearing that and crashing..(knock on wood it never happens).
It's an HK DOT approved helmet with fiberglass molding put on. Only quality I'm referring too is the fiberglass molding on it, looks slightly rough up close. I can see fine with the helmet on, slightly less with the peripheral vision but then again a full face has less than a cap or no helmet.

It does look pretty cool but I am really picky about what I strap on my head.....a few years racing will do that I guess...

I'm sure it would lol, I wouldn't wear this helmet racing, and if I know I'm going out to really push the limits I wear my Shoei. The predator helmet is fun cruising around though, and just getting through traffic is fine too. It's really just very high speed and if I'm changing lanes very frequently and quickly where I notice any different, more with the hight speeds, like iver 140.

Busa is finally a little lower! About and 1-1.5 inch front and rear. I kept the stock proportion of front to rear height, just lower. Looking real nice now. I just love the look

I meant the quality if the artwork and fiberglass on the helmet, it's a DOT approved HK helmet underneath. Visibility is slightly less but feels fine.
dot approved and snell approved don't cut it, recognized as under performing, fine for lower cc

ECE 22.5 the European standard, used in over 50 countries but not all that available here. All mine, Shoei and Scorpion, are DOT and Snell versions. From what I’ve read these two ‘standards’ are different in their testing. ECE testing is fairly new.
Right, forgot about ECE as my HJC has that....

What is the standard for people who frequent the track in North America?? I'd imagine DOT and Snell as a minimum....??

DOT and Snell don't cut it? What's left...??
dot/ snell are the minimum standards however a lot of Helmut manufactures exceed these standards by default as they meet much higher standards for well known reasons people want the best when it comes to protecting their head at high speed, If a hk dot approved helmet as Duncallen said "It's from Indonesia and I'm guessing not the absolute best quality but I still really like it" is a dot standard??? I know a lot of buyers do buyers do research before investing in a good quality lid

I'm pretty sure you can get in a bad wreck at any cc. I'm fine with DOT approved thanks for your concern. I used to ride in Colorado with no helmet, I know the difference between hard riding, racing, and just cruising. I'm fine with taking risks it's not like a helmet is guaranteed to save your life anyway. If I was that concerned I would just stop riding and drive a car or better yet take the bus, yay that sounds fun.
