What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

Carbon nose test fitted prior to being stripped down and a fresh coat of paint on the bodywork.

Well I got the bars installed and everything is basically snugged up. Going to go through and add thread-locker to all the fasteners once I get it all right where I want it. Still playing with the MC locations, and bar angle a little.

I decided I didn't like the Grip heater switch mount I had, so I 3D Printed a new one that integrates the clutch MC perch(?) with the switch, much nicer looking and a lot more solid I think. The grip heater turned out to be no problem to move from the old bar to the new one.

@SSGT_B I was in the same boat as far as the ergos with the Streetfighter bend. I haven't ridden it yet, but I think this bar will be much more comfortable! Renthal has a tool on their website and you can overlay the bar you have now, with any of their others to get an idea on the delta!

I put my brand new AGM battery in the beastie, I didn't even get the start button all the way in and it started right up and ran 150%...no leaks, burbs or hiccups...

Went out for a wee ride as it is a little bit chilly yet...I seem to have forgotten just how fast this bike is....

If a gen 3 is faster, I surely don't need one as this old gal is plenty fast enough for this 'ol country boy...
No worries there, not faster!

I didn’t work on the Busa today, but on another project I have going on in my shop at home.
2011 CBR1000RR Repsol, complete set of fairings to be fitted.... not crashed, but the owner fitted the rhs fairing and did a botch up and it flew off at speed never to be seen again!! Lost the ram air intake and some of the fasteners so it’s my mission to repair it and present it back to him in a “As new” condition.
Nice clean work, I’m enjoying it, but boy does Honda make fairing design complex!!

Picked my baby up from some play time at the local tuning shop
Full race shop and the dyno is calibrated regularly - it's not a friendly dyno as he does dyno work for Suzuki Australia.
Am I happy.... Hell yes.. ecstatic even ... 198.38 at the wheel..
My plans to go to a 1441 have been put on hold for quite a while now...

What did you do to get to that number?

What did you do to get to that number?
Full arka system and a valve job and port matching. Nothing too special.
I wanted to get close to 200, hence was looking at a 1441kit. Shop said, let's have a look at the basic stuff first. They were happy with the result..... Me too :D

Now to put it all back together, wait for a no rain day, and go wring it's neck and see what it's like. It was sitting around 183. Should be a good ride from about 5500 and up..

Sounds like it should be a fun ride...and more reliable than a 1441 build in my opinion...

No ceramic bearings or CF rims or anything?
