What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

I still have the B-King, the naked Gen-1 Streetfighter and the long term faired Gen-1 build and a few other non-Busa related.

My bikes are all hidden, locked away in storage. I sold my house, moved into a little rental place and will spend the rest of the year building my retirement house. The place im building already has a little shed that I’m starting to prep for the bikes so it’s keeping me busy…

Thanks.

The house is a pretty modest build, I did find out who originally built the shed, so today I put an application in to the local council for planning permission to build another exactly the same next to it.

Started mocking up my driving lights this weekend. Got the pair for $15 on fleabay. Think these are the same ones C10 had at one point? They put out a lot of light just in the quick second I powered one of them up. Not in love with the mounting brackets they came with, but I wanted them to clear my Pitbull front stand. Bodged up a couple of temporary brackets out of S/S fender washers to mount them with. Gave me an excuse to finally install my new keyless chuck on my drill press! Figure this is a proof of concept at this stage. If these work out I will likely buy some better lights, and then plasma out some actual mounts from S/S sheet, and S/S hardware. Still need to tear it all apart and install the Aux. fuse panel I started working on a while back to power them and my other gizmos.

Pitbull Trailer Restraint System (TRS), installed in a '17 Chevy Express

Wanted the TRS mounting plate to be removable
  • didn't want to thru-bolt 4 (more) bolts into the van floor
  • 18.75 mm (3/4") plywood.
  • Used existing van thru-bolts where the factory tie-downs were mounted
    • Thru-bolted the plywood for the mounting plate
    • why the wood bows in middle
      • padded, not countersunk

NO MORE STRAPS!!!!
This is truly a one-n-done system

About to test ride, see if that's a true statement

[EDIT] DL1000 also fits
