What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

Flaking powdercoat means substandard prep. Like I said, time for a new powdercoater. If you can't find one close to you Travis is in the St Louis area. TM powdercoat on here. Good guy, great work.

Proof that we can all coexist and live in harmony.

I received a call and email today from the shop doing work on my bike, the wheel powder coating is flaking off. The bike hasn't been riding at all, it's been indoors at the shop the whole time.

I can't believe it, wheels took 3 weeks to get done.

From the pics, where powder coating flaked off you can see the original color (black). Shows they weren't sandblasted before they were coated. No wonder the coating is flaking off.

I'm not having the same powder coater "redo" the wheels, no way. My wife is going out to them for refund.

Now the rim decals have to be stripped to powder coat the wheels again. So, I have to reorder rim decals and have then reinstalled.

I'm glad I'm not a home, my reaction was not pleasant. No actions or words to regret.

My wife will handle the interactions, she's not emotionally connected to the bike like I am.

Here's the pics I received.

Straight balls! You pay 4 a job wait and then get this . No good what excuse could they give my guy is challenged & my girlfriends step son so had to give him a job. You did the right thing.

Ok why is there powder on the wheel bearing seals ? , Cush drive not coated correctly . did they not pull you wheel bearings / blast / coat / then reinstall NEW bearings/seals ? if not your going to have a bearing failure.
Dont let anyone tell you different on that , and say we did it and so n so's bike is still going fine

Passed my British Columbia Motorcycle Skills Assessment test on my Busa yesterday.

No, this is not my first bike. I've been riding since I was 8 but spent the last 16 years living and riding in China.

I was a little worried because of the weight of the bike but it was quite easy. Good throttle and clutch control and good balance is all that's needed.

Can finally "legally" ride over 60 km/h. LOL
