What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

thanks for the heads up you two. I felt like my stock seat was far more comfortable but it was ripped up when I bought it and I couldn't find a corbin in stock at the time so I went with this. So far, it's not as soft by all means but it's abnormally cold here currently. We shall see how it holds up once Florida realizes it's Florida.
I have the same stiffness issue with my current Saddlemen seat. I'm waiting for warmer weather here to really decide.
If you guys find the gel seat and saddlemen seats stiff, then don’t bother with a corbin, because it is stiffer. I had the chance to try another member’s genI with a corbin seat and it was a dream, but I read somewhere that at some point corbin changed foam density, so that might have something to do with it. Some people love the corbins and others buy them and have them reworked to make them comfortable for them. This is not a busa corbin problem, the concours14 forum has a love/ hate relationship with corbin as well. As for the OEM seat, that’s a 100 mile seat for me, before my behind starts crying. maybe I needed to break it in more and just gave up on it too soon when I bought the bike.

Hey Doomz, beautiful gen 2:). How did u lower the bike? Did you use the stock suspension and adjust the pre load?

I’m wanting to lower mine and I’m just not sure how much is involved. I read in the owners manual about how to change preload and dampening but haven’t messed with it yet. Can I get my Busa riding low like yours with stock set up?
You need a triple clamp “lowering block” and different dog bone on the rear. The block/spaced allows you to slide the forks up through the triple clamp. I have those items for sale in the classifieds section of the forum. You would still need a shorter kickstand Or have yours modified to work with the lowered bike.

Corbin will make a seat with any foam density you want, all you have to do is specify which one you want. I have a Gen 1 seat I’m not using. It’s in great shape other than being nearly 13 years old with 63,000+ miles on it.

You need a depth or runout guage to check the rotor while it's spinning, to check for warpage.
Just using a micrometer will only tell you it's thickness, not if it's warped.:beerchug:

What module for cruise control did you get? I was wondering if I were to buy all the mods I wanted to install this coming spring, and drive down from DFW, would you help me hook it up? I'll pay ofc ^_^
It all depends on my work schedule , and what exactly you want to put on . I'm never in a rush to finish mods as that usually where a mistake is made . Better plans are to come on a early Friday , and plan to leave mid day Sunday . If the work is done sooner then win win ! A broken bolt can screw an entire day :(

I'm working on a business plan and might be out in San Antonio within spring/summer time, if this franchise responses to my offer. But I can always either drop the bike off for a week or rent a hotel for a few days. That's not an issue. I was looking to get a nice setup with cruise control, power box, camera mounts, etc. Most of it is electrical, and I don't have confidence dealing with that. Maybe some fog lights too since I ride late at night.

Power commander V ? ( power box ) Cruise control will take a day . Aux lights are easy .

When the time comes I just might.....
My daughter in law almost dropped her coffee when she heard I bought a PS4, she never thought those words would ever be uttered by me. Good at playing it I most certainly am not. I bought GTA 5 and am working of getting a Hayabusa in that game...
I’ve been looking at getting one of those video games too, just haven’t decided which one.

I’m slowly working on upgrading the rear shock, but package delivery speed around this time of the year sucks!! Waiting on the needle to get the nitrogen out and the actual gold valve kit.
