Got my new black crash bars. They are 1.25 thick vs the 3/4 ones that were on there.

I can personally attest to them working. I was pushing back from a space and there were some wet leaves. They slid under my foot as I pushed back. Engine was running. She tipped over. Engine immediately shut down. Got her up. Not a scratch. Started right up. Like nothing ever happened.lol, yep, that's the same problem that I have.
I have those in chrome on my Goldwing too, and while I havnt dropped it, I have purposely laid it over on the crash bars, and they are very sturdy, I think that they can take a pretty good hit...and Honda paint is Alot cheaper than Harley paint!
lol
They look like a lot of fun....
It's like riding a scooter with a little more nuts. And you don't look like a "you know what" riding it... lolThey look like a lot of fun....
I recall the days of yesteryear riding 250/350 and 400 2 strokes and how much fun they were...handled decent and lots of snort...It's like riding a scooter with a little more nuts. And you don't look like a "you know what" riding it... lol
I got some parts in the powder coating oven right now and finished painting the front fender light. Pics later after it all cools and dries.
yessir! Got the powder coater last year. The toaster oven I have is too small to do anything substantial but I get some practice in on the small things before I pony up for a larger oven. You're doing it yourself at home
cool
I sent my voltmeter back today and he texted me that he removed the one from his CBX so I’d get it sooner. Nice huh?
Oh, someone make me feel better about the price I’m going to probably pay for a Progressive shock for the Honda. What’s the replacement cost for a shock on your Hayabusas?

Buy once, cry onceFull Traxxion on my Goldwing was $3100
The shock was around $800-$1000 of that.
It's a big hit, and a big percentage of the cost of the bike, but, I look at it as the rest of the bike is so good, and I just personally really like the GW.
So, what are my options?
I can sell the bike, but then get what to replace it with? And will that need suspension, and will that cost me more in the long run?
I can leave it as is, but I really can't because I know how awful it rides...and how good it potentially can.
I'm not made of money, but I can make it work.
I really like my GW, and I've always loved Gsxr1k's, and I still have mine.
My 1k project will get suspension eventually too.
I think it's obvious that CBX's are one of your all-time favorites, and that if you put aftermarket suspension on it...you're only regret will not being doing it sooner.
You say your son is a rider too...so he won't mind the small dent in his inheretence. lol
Get the suspension, it will make a good ride a great one.
The price only hurts once.
You saved a bundle doing it yourself. That's a 5K pricetag.Buy once, cry once
