guys, I think after a stop in Denver Thurday night, the moondog group is pressing on to the condo in Copper. I may have to adjust my bedtime a little but Thursday night is already paid for and it's only 70 more miles. I want to wake up in the high country, crisp, sunny and the smell of pine trees with a huge cup of coffee can't be beat!

Hey MrGxr, where abouts are you staying in Frisco?
Staying at the Alpine Inn on Lusher Ct. you stayin in the area?
Staying at the Skyvue Motel in Frisco. We should hook up.  I should be there Friday around noon.
Depending on the length of the poker runs we could meet up Friday afternoon sometime. Not sure if cellphone is going to work up there. Lets say we hook up at around 1400 in front of the skyvue?

Lot of plans happening here, this should be a great time.
Have surfed thru the postings and still have some questions...

Where are we going to meet up Friday before the poker run?
Who is going to hang around Friday evening for the live music til dark?
How about Saturday before the Suzuki run?
What time is the cookout Saturday night?

I am one of these people that can get lost in my own house sometimes.

Without knowing the lay of the land so to speak, we can't really pick a good spot to meet up. I say we meet at the suzuki tent or just at the ride start with either the .org shirts or something on.

Does anyone know where the poker run registration will be held? This might be a place to meet up at by say 30 minutes after the first bikes leave...
Live music, sounds good!
Not sure about Saturdays events, could discuss after the poker run Friday! Need to pick a hangout/command post if you will for tying in. Even if this means using voice mail to leave a note for all members...
Good thinking.. Saturday we should discuss when/where to do our cookout? Suggestions?

According to the info sheet I got in the mail...

Registration is in the Alpine lot near the transportation center starting at 0800 each day Fri, Sat, and Sun.

The Poker run is slated to start at the Conoco, but also has the TBD next to it. The time is also TBD.

The Grand Lake ride:
The Suzuki Ride to Grand Lake will cover approximately 190 miles round trip and take about 4 hours, not including your lunch stop. From there you can choose to return to Copper Mountain or take an alternate route and continue on to Estes Park, another 3 hours of technical riding over the Continental Divide and numerous Mountain Passes.

OK, just got off the phone with Justin at RPM. Poker run registration is at 0900 with the runs starting around 1000. The 5 card run is slated to last approx. 2 - 2.5 hrs, with the 7 card run lasting approx 4hrs. I say we meet up where the ride begins. I don't think it will be to hard to notice the Busas just hanging out. what do ya think?

As far Saturday morning for the Suzuki ride, the same thing can happen. Register and than meet up at the staging area.
