I know a place. It's sorta at 7000 ft, but let's go check it out.

We rode up to 7000 ft, not as much snow as we thought.

The road ahead was closed, so there was no reason to keep heading up the mountain.

Further up the road a few miles is China Peak, a ski hill, the mountain peak for which this tour is named after.

The elevation drops quickly from 7000 ft back into the foothills.

Hour later, we're takin' a break, checking out Tim's MT-10. He loves the bike, but the bike is already famous for terrible gas mileage.

I signal the riders behind me of a decent pothole, and Laurent behind me copies the move.

The idea is for the warning to carry through the entire group.

By chance, I snap a shot of Laurent going over the pothole. He seems to be floating.

A year ago, I hit a very large rock in the road and bent the rim on my last Busa. That sucked.

Zero issues, no incidents, awesome days ride, great group of veteran riders. Some of these guys, I've been riding consistently with on these tours for 17 years.

I've been realizing I've had this new bike for a while and don't have any glamour shots of it. Time to rectify that issue.
