45 Days on a Gen3 Hayabusa - 2023 Pashnit Touring

Cholame Valley Rd has some long straights. And nobody out here. The 'town' this road goes to is population 18.

Didn't take me long to find the reason for this road being 'closed'.

Looking at the sides, you could see how deep the water was a few days earlier. Easily over 12 inches deep.

Only one way to find out...

I'm calling this one, 'suggestion, closed'.

So much sand in the road, the road crews have simply plowed the sand aside.

Surrounding Parkfield are the winding backroads of San Luis Obispo County, a region of rolling hills and endless wineries and ranch land.

Also some normally dry washes that we get to ride through

Chimney Rock Rd is a delight. Brand new pavement & everything is super green

Monya first got her motorcycle license at age 65. She's been commuting from Houston to come out & ride these roads. She signed up for every tour I'm offering.

Peter has been riding with us for 10+ years, this time he brought his GF with him on the Goldwing.

The addition of Ely on this ride gave us five women riders. Four solo, and one pillion.
