With new information presented on a daily basis at times and new opinions are created. The world we experience is changing at a rapid rate while human tendencies and behaviors are mostly the same. Most of us are wired to be freedom seeking individuals. A certain subset of people think they should be running the world... and it appears they are... and it appears they don't want us to know everything they are strategizing to implement at some point in the near future.
The passage of information is incredibly rapid today whereas governments of the past had only grainy radio broadcasts for people who actually had radios and newspapers which were spotty at best....
So it is pretty difficult for modern governments to hide anything unless they are like North Korea and implement a total media blackout....
I think this would be very hard to do in western countries...
Crazily enough, many countries outside western countries are pretty much the same as they were years ago as their value system has not changed....it is the future of the west which will be in jeopardy of losing identities, traditions and values of our nations.....
In South Africa, there is a piece of land, about half the size of the Netherlands, contained within boundaries, which is pretty much exactly the same as it was thousands of years ago. Same animals, same vegetation, same rivers and swamps. It has been protected against how humans changes the environment to suit their needs.
That is where I go for a week or so, when the modern world gets too much for me. In a week, can only experience a tiny fraction of it.
As to your views about the future of the West? I believe modern humans, at the forefront of technology, have the ability to change the world towards a level one civilization, where the planet is harnessed and protected. Population growth of modern man is however declining, while the better lifestyle modern man has created, is being infiltrated by people with less civilized values and positive population growth. So who knows where this is going to end?
Before modern man changed the world, life was about marking your territory, defending it with your life and the herd is ruled by the strongest one. If he gets challenged, he will defend it with his life, and if the challenger wins, he will be the new leader. Like a pride of lions.
In the end one wonders if world democracy, or autocracy wins?
If people have total freedom to do what they wish, will the human race and the planet survive?
Or does the world need a Putin, or a Xi Jinping, ( nature, leader of the pride of lions) who controls the human race with an iron fist, and a master plan followed with strict rules, which saves the planet.
To Zerks, life is a whole lot simpler than you may think. We get smart people and we get stupid people. Those in between follow either the one or the other. Those conspiracies you love, are written by story tellers who like attention, at the of the day, there are too many smart people who would not allow any of those conspiracies to resemble any degree of truth.
The Democrats use to be smart, but lordy knows where that went wrong.
Engineered to happen, cultural marxism is being introduced to our universities in the west at an alarming rate, and the young people are being brain washed, just like Chairman Mao did to his young people.
But he exterminated the older generation to be absolutely certain there was no chance of his plan failing.
This 21st century culture war is a 'death by a thousand cuts' extermination of the older generation's culture and Christian belief system
The majority of people appear to prefer to ignore that which is right in front of them, out of fear and not understanding who they are, but that is about to change everything..

The Kiwis who I worked with in the Pacific, were a tough bunch. They pretty much had minds of their own.

There is a huge awareness of the control of the narrative in NZ, we had a huge protest at our Parliament in Wellington re the over reach of Government with the lockdowns and the mandated vaccinations back in the midst of the covid days.
Of course the protesters were dubbed 'conspiracy theorists' by our Government and their mouthpiece, the legacy media.
Same thing happened in Canada, the UK, Ireland etc etc.
Yes we are traditionally a tough bunch in NZ, but the wokeness that has infected the young people thru the education system and the mothers of kiwi children in recent decades has changed all that.
I mean, the All Blacks were always just a bunch of hard country boys from farming backgrounds, now they are a bunch of over paid, over lauded athletes that have very short careers in their chosen profession.

As it is with most people that are not afflicted with some issue beyond their control life is simple. We all want to be loved and respected. We want our freedom to think and do as we please in our short time here in the space of a mortal lifetime.
The smart people... aka... the Nerds... will provide the high tech accessories and manufacturing that only they can engineer from the ground up, or, from on top of the shoulders of those that came to invent before them.
The other group of noteriety is... The Ruling Class... about 1 in a big number of every earth bound person wants to run the world and the people inhabiting it. That group has a lot of politicians and corporate heads that do have a say in what happens around the world. It appears to me WEF exist and meets for the expressed purpose of running the world in the way that suits them best with the resources they have available to them.
Since the world is struggling financially in many areas, especially in the USA then only one solution exist. It is the same solution that has moved the can down the road many times in the past .
That solution is to create some more wars... and... that is exactly what we are seeing now.

Your “ruling class” is made up of the Obama’s, Clinton’s, Shumer, Schiff, Pelosi and a few others, including George Soros. It’s about money, influence and power.
This is why they hate Trump and Musk, as both are not party to the establishment.

Me thinks the real Ruling Class is some people whose names we will never know and faces we will never see.
These are the same people that can buy and sell the names you mentioned.
As far as Elon goes... he is a mixed bag that would never had made it if it were not for government subsidies.
Trump is a salesman with business experience. He does know how to get things done in spite of the Dems best efforts to stop him.
If America doesn't get the powers that be to redirect this country in a new direction then it is likely
we will lose our dollar's status and much of what connects to it.
With half of our Navy in the ME looking for trouble we are likely to find it sooner or later.
You're partisan to the end. Elon Musk is hard to like but easy to respect. His accomplishments speak for themselves. Trump on the other hand is devoid of any humility, respectfulness or loyalty. He lies when he's knowledgeable enough and speaks gibberish when he's not. That's why people hate Trump.
All I care about is the ability of a President to select the best 15 executives available into his cabinet, get them on the same page, agree mission, objectives and lead them towards delivering for our nation.

I don’t insult our leaders, as most here do, especially the guy who blows 24mpg out of a 1000cc engine.
In the past going to four years, I have not seen the leadership qualities in Kamala, which I believe we need.
Trump’s leadership qualities are not the best either, he is not a team builder and has no empathy. He got stuff done though. Highly competent people however will do well under Trump, while those who are lacking in experience will hate him. In a large organization, you will find two kinds of leaders. One who is exemplary in character, is liked by everyone and is capable of keeping the wheels turning smoothly. The other, who you can put into a broken organization, who will swim upstream, will clean the swamp, will be hated by about 30% of the organization, many will resign, some will get fired, but at the end of the day he will fix the organization and build it back to where it should be.
Trump is the latter. Obama was the former. Biden was neither during this 4 year term.
Trust me, I have been through the mill with this stuff and thank God I retired from the Fortune 10 world seven years ago.
In short, it is not about whether we like someone, or about the person. It is about the executive team of around 25 people leading our country to safety, prosperity and gaining the respect of the world.
The Democrats were once a great party. Obama did a great job, but he failed dismally with his succession planning.
Almost every post I read here is about Kamala, this and Trump that. The big picture is completely missing. The larger portion of Democrats, will vote for anyone who is their nominee, even if it is a janitor with his profession disguised. That is wrong.

Accomplishments? As a marketing swindler? All he does is tap into people's techno dreams and then makes himself rich off of their loyalty. Electric cars, how's that company doing these days? He's left that behind because he knew it was a dead end. Space-X? That's just tapping into the NASA budget for the most part and all he's doing otherwise is cluttering near Earth space with thousands of little satellites that people use for fast gaming and fast porn downloads lol.
Everything else is is just fantasy that will never come to pass. The Hyper Loop train, the Colony on Mars, beam me up Scotty! As for X, that's just a platform for controlled opposition, he was no doubt paid to take that over, to give the common people a sense that they were winning in the fight against corporate control of every aspect of their lives. It's just another outlet for the disgruntled masses to go on a bitch-about how bad the nation is rather than actually getting into the streets and fixing the problems directly. The common people worship Musk because he tells them what they want to hear, but he doesn't deliver anything other than the what the federal government or Raytheon delivers.
They praise him, and all the while they watch their lives slide out of view.
