You imply that I am somewhat too ridiculous to discuss the realities of voting? First off, you make assumptions about whether or not people will vote. All you are really doing is looking at the world through your contextual filter. You will never see the world the exact same way that a large group of independent thinkers will. You will have similarities, but it ends there. How is that your argument for the electoral college? Those "as many people" have brains. If they live in Missouri, for example, and they are liberal, or live in California and are conservative, they're tempted to skip voting. Some of them do. We don't get an accurate consensus from eligible voters. How do candidates reach out? Rallys and interviews, debates and advertising. It reaches everyone the same now. It obviously didn't in 1804. Whether the candidate is lying or is genuine is up to the judgement of the voter. Why are you defending a 200 year old system in a society that is nothing like it was back then?
You stated the obvious. You really think telling us that a candidate wants to reach as many people as possible is news to anyone?
You can't seem to discuss or debate without personal attacks or projections about a person's mental acuity. It's telling.
Be aware... between TV and in person... meeting physically has an advantage... Zoom meeting are not as effective as face to face meetings.
I state the obvious because you can miss the obvious if it isn't pointed out to you.
The last rebuttal is simple to counter what you said... We all see the world from a different perspective based on what was installed in our collective subconscious when we were young and impressionable. Your subconscious directly impact what you see, thinks, and respond to and if you respond. So, we are all somewhat limited based on what we and study and what subjects we have expanded our level of understanding on.
The Founders of this country were intellectual types that had experienced the wrath of King George and his BS tax rates. Taxes steal your human energy... especially when you get over charged. You have a finite amount of time to create the life you work for and desire. The current tax system is broken due to over spending by the people that run this country. The whole world is waking up to that fact... and that is why they want little to do with the US dollar. Its has become an over inflated currency that is bringing inflation everywhere it goes. The Brix formation of sizable countries forming a currency of their own proves the point I am making. If the dollar was what it once was about 40 or 50 years years ago we wouldn't have a "Brix Nations" organization to rid themselves of the dollar.
