Barber Motorsports Park 10-24 and 10-25 2009

Plans are falling together. My Power One's will be here tomorrow. Luci goes to the shop next week for Track prep. We will be leaving here Thursday morning and picking up skydivr's extra bike in Nashville around lunch time. Friday we wil have to check out the Barber facility. Sat and Sun on the track.

Change 1: I have a friend letting me borrow his front chock, so now I can haul both bikes on my own trailer. Sending PM

Sounds like a great time, wish I could go, but we are in full speed ahead on the store remodel and expansion.:boohoo:

Well, things are sure shaping up here!

Getting the Duc ready to go, have to buy alot of tools and sh** for that bike! Nooo, my tire balancer wont balance its wheels, I dont have that weird nut to take off the rear wheel or that tool that 'aligns' the front axle and on, and on, and on..... Sure glad I have Mr. Busa all squared away!

I am gonna transfer some reasonably new PPs to Mr. Busa, I'll take him out for a session or two but my primary mission is to keep my buddies looking at the back tire of the Ducati.

Oh, and medical science being what it is, a steroid injection into my crapped out knee seems to make life a little easier so the bikes and my old a** are nearly ready!

Time to start the 'no rain' dance:whistle:

Dang it, guess my umbrella will be doing double duty!!!! :)
Thanks for all the hardwork you have put into making this happen. We are just praying we don't get a freeze between when Luci gets her coolant changed out and Track day. :(

Oh, should we bring our "easy-up" with us?

Done. I will start making my piles of stuff to go. I also have some large empty kitty litter jugs we can fill with water for weight in case it gets a little windy!!! :)

Is grilling allowed at the track or did you guys have plans to eat out most of the time? If you are planning on grilling, let me know what we can bring or pick up once we are there! I also have a small Coleman table top propane grill I could bring if wanted.

So far my list includes:
Easy up
chairs - 2
cooler
Tool box
Water
GatorAde
Caffeine diet coke (left over from the bash)
Beer (for after riding is done)
Mikes raspberry (also for after riding - left over from bash)
Luci (of course) ;)
Bike stands
Cameras
Camcorders
Extra batteries!!!
Tripod
LOTS OF ADVIL!! Randy's not the only one with achy joints. :)
New Pucks and back protector
Big Umbrella!!

OMG....I had a whole list typed out and accidentally hit the delete button:pullhair:

I don't know if grilling is allowed. The guys will get a food voucher for lunch so they are covered. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast so that is also covered.

my list is a lot like yours except we will also be bringing

extension cords for power.
ac/heater for the trailer
rain gear
small tv for watching the football games:cheerleader:
good pair of shoes cause we will be doing a lot of walking to get pictures.

If I think of anything else I'll post up.

I'm not that far from Barber...thinking of making the trip just to see what the day is like. I wanted to sign up for the track but its all full :cursin: My fault for waiting to long. Sooo..here's the question...do I ride the busa there and hope for a trackside sign-up if thats even possible or drive the challenger down and bring extra stuff??? Thoughts....it wil be nice to meet you guys.

There still might be slots in the Novice class. Make sure you go to Sportbiketracktime.com and read what is required to run you and your bike on the track. I'm sure we could configure your bike so it would pass tech (tape up, etc.) so you could ride....but in novice you will have to go to class!

It's still sold out. I checked the message boards last night and nothing....not one single spot for sale.

I got my room adjusted for our arrival on the 22 and leaving on 26.

:cheerleader:

Hopefully they will have all our rooms next to each other! OH that just reminded me, I need to bring the safety goggles for Randy so while we are sitting out side the rooms shooting the breeze he can wear em and not get some thing in his eye like last time:laugh:

That would be cool. I'll be cameraless on Luci. This has not been a good year for my video equipment. I'm planning to get a couple of HD Gipro's, but it won't happen before the track day.

I'll show either way...prolly won't stay the whole weekend but I'll be there on Saturday. I'm new to the track so it will be nice to be around some cats that know the biz. Maybe a slot will open up...won't hold my breath though.
