Barber Motorsports Park 10-24 and 10-25 2009

Will be bringing rain and dry tires with me since Randy's bringing the duck.

There it is.....
I have an old Icon helmet that we are thinking about using as a sort of 'good omen', long story but the curse of the Duc has to be broken!
Another thing I have done is leave the bike out in the direct sunlight for long periods at a time to 'burn' the curse out of it and I think that has paid some dividends...
A priest might be next:laugh:

Dang it, I have attended and paid for what..... 4 track days this year and not turned ONE SINGLE dry lap! It CAN NOT happen again...

Going back to a post up above, no grilling at Barber. Your not even allowed to spit on the ground in that paddock!
Our easy up is a major POS (it takes a team and a pyramid builder to erect it) so please, bring yours - I would buy another one but we are spending too much on more important things like tires, wrenches and power bills!

Getting close:thumbsup:

I'll show either way...prolly won't stay the whole weekend but I'll be there on Saturday. I'm new to the track so it will be nice to be around some cats that know the biz. Maybe a slot will open up...won't hold my breath though.

Be great to meet ya!

Come out either way and bring the Busa, would love to meet it too!

You'll have to pay some small fee to come in as a guest but once you get it in, we paddock up on the fence to the west of the race control complex, just cruise over that way and look for us!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe the gate fee is 5 dollars a day.

Keith, there is only ONE moderator in this house:whistle:

She has her own machine and its in a different room - I only get to see the damage here!

But yep.... She can delete my insinuations so I have to step lightly:rulez:

In other news, I found this really cool machinist who makes balancing cones (and many other items) for my existing wheel balancer and now I can balance Ducati (1098 / 1198) rear wheels. Ordered rubber, some tools and those cones this last week and the cones got here first (and were ordered last) all the way from Cali with no shipping charges - awesome dude that Marc Parnes! Good to find business folk like him!

I guess all the other stuff will come in next week.
Mr. Busa is getting some scrubbed PP2CTs and will enjoy the usual change in gearing set up for that weekend - that and fresh front rotors thanks to a benevolent member hereon!

I am putting my track plastics on my gixxer now; should have pics soon.

Getting closer. Luci's in her play coths now.

Who is looking for a Novice Slot? One of the mods on Gixxernation says there is a Novice slot available!

I feel your pain!!!! I don't know anything that is going on the boards unless it spills over to the public area!!!! So far BusaWhipped has not had to delet any of my posts or edit them for me! :cheerleader: Although I will say while we were at the bash I used his Iphone to check up on the org and since it was logged onto his account, I did get to touch the power!!!! I gave up though, cause I kept hitting all the wrong buttons and didn't want to accidently bann someone!

What gearing are you running? I'm planning 18/42 with 180/55 Power One so I can pull the rear tire as far forward as possible.

One of the STT instructors recommends watching the STT board for opening slots - say it happens ever time in the last couple weeks prior to the date:

Sign up on STT forum to see the for sell days but you gotta move QUICK there is alot of desire for these dates!

I run up 2 on the rear, but only at the track.
This time it'll have a 55 aspect ratio tire instead of 50 and that'll probably make the gearing a little shorter legged than usual. I am hoping that tire will fit with my larger rear sprocket (chain wise that is), I'll know this weekend!
I have a LOT to do what with prepping two bikes and I aint done a thing yet...

I have never tried to run a 180mm tire on the Busa, always 190s.
That sure is interesting!

I like the bike's track duds, you got some yellow / black leather to compliment it:thumbsup:

The Gixxernation group is also going to be parking on the lower level right side, apparently this is going to be Suzuki South HQ for that weekend :beerchug:

Leaving for the track in 2 days :cheerleader::cheerleader: Planning on spending Thursday night with the in-laws in Hazel Green then down to Barber on Friday afternoon.
