Gen 3 Latest report ..

Makes two of us as I now own 9 of the suckers but credit where credit is due in terms to opposition models. I’d still consider a used Gen 3 but only when it’s half the price.
9? That's it....???

I am soooo happy to only have one bike now....I was up to 6 different bikes at one time before and it was a PITA to organize maintenance and even worse to have some of them sit while others were ridden...

Now it just too easy to look after one bike. I do all the maintenance I need to do and as it needs no more mods, I can just ride it now...

Imagine jumping on your long awaited and prized Hayabusa and riding it here:

This guy has all kinds of videos...crossing rivers riding in mud and things like that...

What happens if you buy one over the Canadian border and ride it over?
To be honest, I'm not sure....I'd imagine nothing as it would be a North American model...at one time Canada used to get the European spec bikes but not anymore...

As long as the speedo will switch to kms/hr

Or 20-30 more hp.....the engine has it in it, why couldn't have Suzuki made this happen?

Other bikes with Euro 5 emission controls aren't as neutered...

Would have been nice if the gen 3 came to us with 200rwhp.....
I'll agree it should have had 200whp+ but you're just incorrect about Euro5. Every performance bike (especially liter bikes) is neutered currently and most are more neutered as a result and not less.

Right, what I thought was rwhp was bhp....they are all over 200bhp though...

You'd think with all the R&D money Suzuki has they'd be able to sort out the loss with Euro 5 restrictions....

I guess they are relying heavily on the tuners and aftermarket to increase the power...

My cousin had a Canadian 02 gsxr600 and the cluster won't switch between kms and mph. I'm guessing that was a euro spec bike. Good to know they get the North American models now since I see so many Canadian bikes being in right across the bridge.

My older son has a GSX750F and it is a US bike, he bought a Canadian instrument cluster so it'd read kms/hr.

People are often confused between actual power ratings and Dyno numbers.

Many liter bikes are rated at 200hp on paper but actually make 160-170's at the tire (rwhp).

One thing the Gen-3 Busa has in it's favor. It was rated less on paper but actually makes more at the tire. Only good for bench racers though because when modding starts all bets go out the window.
