Gen 3 Performance

So remember the Busa is a moderately expensive, modern bike now. Note in several hackers' posts they have referred to the CAN (Controller Area Network) system. You can get some quick schooling here: CAN Bus Explained - A Simple Intro [2021 | The #1 Tutorial]

What that means is all the parts of the bike and all those awesome bells and whistles are communicating with each other. So it's not as simple as just unplugging this or that, because the system is looking for faults as simple as fluctuations in the headlight voltage to tell the system the headlight may be failing. I can tell you this because I spent 6 hours in the garage with my BMW trying to figure out a "failure warning" only to have a tech at BMW plug into the bike and say "It thinks the headlight is going to fail" in 3 minutes. Obviously, if something is complicated then BMW will make it as complicated as it can be and Suzuki usually won't.

I don't know if the Suzuki has the full CAN-Bus treatment, but this is new for a lot of the hackers and more than a bit frustrating I'd imagine. Guys like Bren Tuning might have a leg up as they have been hacking CAN-Bus bikes for a while now.

Suffice it to say, gentleman (and @sixpack577 haha), the Busa is not the simple, DIY speed tool it used to be.
I’m sure it does have all protection tied together in cpu .

So specifically how does Can High function, and how specifically does Can Low function ?..

Very interesting

I am sure that it does ,I just went through my service manual and almost everything goes back to the cpu . It’s not even color coded.

650ib giving a review.....he makes me laugh...he seems to have a real good sense of humor....

For what ive seen so far my opinion is that someone or some people are on purpose slowing down the performance development on this bike anyone has the same opinion?

...who would be doing that? Almost each and every review or video I've ever seen has people wanting to get the ECU sorted out...so almost the complete opposite of your opinion.

Remember the Hayabusa is and has always been a bit of a niche bike and is not at the pinnacle of performance any longer so only so much R&D is going to go into aftermarket performance enhancement for it.

Nah, it's the Euro5 Emissions being hard to crack, along with the supply chain problems covid brought.
As well as aftermarket companies needing an owner, employee, or customer to own a gen3, so they can do R&D and update and/or make parts that work for it.
I'de like to know gen3 sales numbers too...I bet it isn't alot.

Robert, how do you like the Brock’s/Corbin seat for comfort? Do you think it’s more comfortable than the factory seat? I bought the Genuine Suzuki logo seat with red stitching because it’s a good looking seat but it’s a little less comfortable imo so I only rode on it for one half day ride and I put my factory seat back on. The Brock’s/Corbin looks great.
