Gen 3 Performance

They're claiming 2hp more on the dimpled stacks vs their smooth stacks on the gsxr1k
I haven't seen gen3 numbers yet
but doesnt the gsxr1000 have shower style ingectors? dimples help with fuel atomization. you see that with carburetor manifolds. in the gen 3 the secondary injectors spray a plate. so dimples probably a wont do anything vs the the change in length or diameter.

Yes, the gsxr upper injectors do not spray a plate in the tb's like the gen3.
The gsxr1000 does have the shower style upper injectors, they are on a small rail on the back of the airbox lid.
They point almost straight down above the stacks.
This 2018 gsxr1000R has a full M4, Sprint filter, smooth stacks, and Chris Moore tuned it through the ecu.
It made 147whp before, after, 187whp.
The guy is an amazing tuner too.
There are no spots Anywhere in the rpms where the engine hicups, loses power, feels sluggish, nothing.
The bike is smooth and linear from idle to redline, and has a first gear that is mind boggling for a bolt-on and stock geared bike.

Six , was it tuned by Chris Moore or his tuner Magic Mike ? Good bhp gains for sure .

I know everyone is awaiting the ECU flash with baited breath-I'm not that certain as to just how much it will make gains....

The GSXR is a different engine set up for an entirely different purpose...the gen 3 engine is set up for mid range via cam profiles so those will need to change to gain more top end or am I out to lunch?

If they are changed, won't the mid range go to a similar level of a gen 2?

Not saying the gen 3 can't be a barn burner with enough effort and time....and more importantly....money...

^This dude, it’s a 9 second street bike and you act like it’s a 1990 cbr 600, bike absolutely rips, you do realize your so stuck on numbers all the time it’s laughable, on the track or on the street, it’s a slight miss hap with the clutch or a small weight difference between riders and any new bike 1k or big bore sport bike wins or loses. Maybe jump back in the gen 2 section for awhile

Go read my post again before you get all riled up there fella......I'm not stuck on numbers but I would say you definitely are.

As long as this is called a discussion forum, I'll participate in whichever thread I feel like-thanks.

My ecu flash thoughts are that the euro5 emissions has most of the fuel pulled at high rpms.
And most bikes anymore typically have less timing at lower rpms stock.
So hopefully and likely something noticeable throughout the revs, just from a few key strokes, vs expensive mechanical parts(cams, head, etc)

Spoke to chris moore this afternoon...he said the flash is a looong way away..at least june or later, said its about the ff'n euro5 bs that we gotta suffer here to with.. why does a bunch of tree huggers in europe get to ruin my day??

I'm not suprised, after Brock said it took Brentune around a year and a half to unlock the H2SX.
It's funny that we need code breakers to get full power out of motorcycles these days.
