I meant it FEELS like it has more torque. It doesn't have more torque, it has better mid range than the other generations due to changes in cam profiles and throttle bodies.
I got to thinking it might actually have more torque at that particular rev range just not peak torque....I meant it FEELS like it has more torque.
I think that number includes quite a bit of engine work as well and won't be an inexpensive venture.Theres some great news coming fron HTP MOTEC ECU lets wait and see as for now 249 hp
Im also from Puerto RicoCan't wait for my exhaust to show up... hopefully it shows up just before the ECU is cracked. and then I'm probably done there aside from a better air filter and synthetic oil. HTP seems to be really pushing the Gen3 performance but as a street rider only with occasional trips to the drag strip or Mexico I can't see going crazy with the bike.
funny story.... I am Puerto Rican, so all my friends think my bike will be stretched, lowered, chromed out and lit up with LEDs all over it probably accentuating some god-awful paint job with and even uglier airbrushed mural of something or other on it. Cannot wait to break that mold! lol

Could probably turbo it for a similar cost.
Gen-3 package HTP is working on... | Gen 3 Busa Information
For those not following the HTP page, they just advised they have a head/cam 1,340cc package coming for the Gen-3 that just put down 249whp and 121rwtq. Bike has a Motec ECU to fully unlock the power. Cecil posted..."Details soon ( head , cams, valve springs, our stacks , our throttle body...www.hayabusa.org

Do either of you still live in Puerto-Rico?
Just curious, because if so, what is the riding like there?
Are sportbikes common, rare?
Any good roads to ride?
haha, i think that’s more of a “southern states” thing. if you have ever lived in a that part of the USA you see lots of lowered, stretch, chromed bikes everywhere on the streets. lots of people of puerto rican decent in those states too. out west, you dont see that style of bike as much apart from show bikes. Can't wait for my exhaust to show up... hopefully it shows up just before the ECU is cracked. and then I'm probably done there aside from a better air filter and synthetic oil.
