some juries have found this to be cruel in the line

.410's really aren't much good for anything unless you're right up on top of stuff,too small of a shot load.Lots of kids start out with a .410 and more often than not,even if they hit what they're aiming at,it flies or runs off to die while they're thinking they probably just missed it(and the beginning of bad shooting habits).They would be much better off with a 20 gauge,not a lot of recoil and gets the job done(my gramps was an avid outdoorsman/life long gun collector and got all of us boys Winchester model 37's in 20 gauge for xmas when we were 11-12 years old).Both of my brothers still have theirs,I was a dumbass and made a sawed off out of mine,left it in Colorado back around '81.
Oh, I'm not denying for a moment that it LOOKS like a full-auto military assault rifle, but it's not. I'm waayy too old to be fighting - peace thru superior firepower...
I think about all the people I have fought over the years and many of them are friends now. We laugh about those fights and still talk trash about who would win now. Today with the guns one of us would have been dead. "Peace is not the absence of war it's the absence of the preparation for war". Bet you don't know who said that.....

We have non lethal rounds in our firearms for home protection. Which makes our regular firearms, non lethal weapons.
There are multiple types non lethal rounds to choose from, in multiple calibers.

We don't use any force unless necessary. We consider our weapons deadly at all times, even when loaded with non lethal rounds.
We think preserving a life is worth the added cost of using non lethal rounds for home protection.
It has been very disheartening reading this thread. Taking a life should never be contemplated easily.
The lack of humanity and compassion, shown sickens me.
I feel ashamed and embarrassed to call myself a member; with the loss of respect and civility shown to others.
This thread should have strengthened our bonds, enriched our lives from thoughtful and insightful discussion.
We should stride to be the logical and moral leaders of our families and communities. What has taken place is disgraceful.

Are you dumb as hell? I know the difference because I was in the military. I know the difference between a 3 round burst and a AR15. It isn't that hard to explain at all, a weapon that was designed to kill people should not be allowed. No one takes a AR hunting, because in 26 years hunting I have yet to see one in the field. That's because it isn't hunting when you can pull the trigger over and over and over and kill everything in the wake. I also never said I was taking YOUR weapons away, that's more of your FOX news obviously.

So since Cabella's sells BB guns that look like an M16 rifle and they have removable magazines for the BB's does that make them an assault rifle because they look military ish and they have several functional components that are the same? While not interchangeable is that a requirement? They also have rails for lights, sights, and a whole list of other accessories?

texas… I can honestly tell u that in NY... ure life would be very very different. While ure not wrong, the problem is that the liberal leaders are NOT really liberal... they are democratic socialists…. they want to take away allllllll guns... that is their goal and there is a real push to achieve this.... both in the media and in practice, and its infuriating when a communist tries to tell you how to live.... I know u don't think its real... BUT IT IS... do NOT let them take away ANY legal gun ownership.. I implore u, or ure state will end up like this state., with MORE rights afforded to the criminals than to law abiding citizens

Hey man I get it, but how many children and innocent people have to die with a weapon that was only designed for human killing before we say enough is enough. Everyone on this thread knows if they had a magazine with 30 rounds in a SEMI automatic AR15 could take down at least 25 people in a hallway. I know this because I was trained to pull the trigger and it has gotten to easy with today's semi rifles. Go into a hallway with a .283 single shot and see if you can hit that number of a semi rifle, impossible! As for criminals having more rights than me, vote out your congressman and senators and get people who actually help the people, not themselves.

its not that easy.... and texas… the type of gun has NOTHING to do with it.... having spent 13 years locked down with criminals... real criminals... I can tell you that if it wasn't a gun it would have been a grenade.... just thank god that the bad guys haven't used a grenade or an rpg YET.... its the criminals NOT the gun... its the SICK THOUGHTS in their brains NOT the gun.... just be glad it wasn't multiple grenades that the mass shooter criminals are using.... even in prison they find a way to kill... and its NOT uncommon... problem is that most people don't talk to and study the criminals and see how they think and watch what they do... if they have sick thoughts and are a criminal... its just a matter of time... like I said... its a blessing that no explosives are being used.
I've got one of those...works great although I sure wouldn't want to be engaging in a firefight with one....
I also have one of these Umarex Barrettas in .177, it has a 30 rd mag, it's pretty potent for a pellet gun.
5-7 rounds in a semi-auto hunting shotgun, vs 30 in an AR, and the results are horrendous with either. And chances are, if you had to choose which crime scene to look at...you'de pick the AR.

lets not be too hard on texas…. he lives in an almost utopia state... these communists haven't savaged his state yet.... I hope he takes all this in and thinks about it, and bear in mind nobody is gonna change their mind immediately.... hopefully he will think about this and NOT LET THE STATE or fed govt take away ANY GUN RIGHTS..... just look at NY as an example as what happens when u start letting govt take away gun rights.
