Hayabusa-what he heck is it with this bike?

I could have any year Busa, but my 2000 model in my eyes can not be replaced. The lines & colors of the blue/silver just flow better than the later years - in my opinion. We have developed a great relationship over the years.

I know what you mean, I just don't think I'll ever replace my 2000 (just add a BMW Adventure some day to fulfill my "ride to the Artic Circle" fantasy).

I know how you feel. Sure the gen II has more power and all that, but I don't think I could ever part with my 06LE. One of my friends asked me one time "If someone offered you $30,000 for your busa right now, would you sell it?" My answer was "No, it's not for sale."

That would be a great track bike Gene, how come you like 07's?

Doyle, I think that blk/org color combo looks really good on the 1000's, gives it more of a rich elegant look than say the blue, red or yellow one's I've seen (just my opinion). Also when I look at buying a bike I generally look for one 1-2 years old & barley used, that way I feel I'm saving 4-5 k and getting an almost new bike. Ya gotta admit, that's a sweet lookin bike there.

hey tim does your busa have 80K on it ?

It's been to a place or two. Getting up there. Hit 80K last fall. I bought it with 12K (although typically have had more than one bike to spread the mileage out a bit).

But seriously, what motorcycles have this type of cult following?

Or have such broad spectrum of owners (travel/custom/competition). The key to the immense success of the Hayabusa is that 'broad spectrum'.

nudder 07 rider here,
it's not the size of the dog it the fight within that counts, I can hang with the 08s with no problem, not one has walked from me, pound for pound, and when we get on the twisties, I can have a smoke but the time they get to the destinetion, small island with no track we do what we have to.... places like pineapple road, snake, 13 turns, and norfolk are some of the hotspots that we frequent...

Guys,I have to say that this bike is the best fitting, nicest handling, most powerful, greatest sounding and best looking bike that I have ever owned by far.And I've had quite a few of them between 1982 and now.Now that I have owned one,I am spoiled. This girl and me are going to grow old together.Anyone feel the same way? These bikes are just perfect in every respect.A FABULOUS machine.Right on Suzuki-Right on.
Mike

It's a good thing you didn't get the black 06, I don't know of you could have handled it.

Congratz, I think we've all been there. Have you gotten up on the middle of the night to look at it yet ?

Currently my 05 LE is one of 4 bikes I own and ride regularly. The Busa is the one I Choose to ride the most often, It is also the one I can't leave alone. I am always tweaking something

My wife told me if she knew this Bike was going to make me this Happy she would have told me to get it a long time ago.
