If you could change the oRg..

And a GPS ttracking section so we can track Michelle:laugh:

You can't...I have cat-like reflexes...

And I've witnessed first hand guys with a GPS that couldn't find the hotel just down the street in Robbinsville  Just sayin'

a Wiki for maintenance, topics, mods, etc.

You could start the Wiki with a "How-to-Wiki" guide. If used properly it could be a useful tool to find up-to-date information, collaborate and share inforamtion effectively. Strict guidelines would help make it a main point of reference.
Who knows, it could solve the oil debate or at least put it to rest. I think it would be very useful for new members to help answer many of their questions that have already been asked, debated, and answered over the years.

Lastly I would like to see live video feeds during board events.

I agree with that, but IM's are private.

EDIT:
Okay, how about some sort of "Chat Request" as a compromise? For example, if I see that a certain user is online, I could go to their profile and click something that would instantly send them a pop-up requesting their presence in the chatroom.

While in chat you can whisper to anyone that is in the room. That way you can keep an eye on whats going on in the open room and discuss or chat in the back ground privately.

I do like the "Chat Request" idea....maybe pop up like the New PM box.

Would also like to see a "who's in chat" list on the portal page.

Promote the chat alot more so more people go into it

Keith why not Youtube?

Youtube only allows 15 min total video and blocks alot of content (music); Vimeo isn't so picky. I wouldn't switch, just add.

Oh boy, I see the new icon now. Great work Cap, and thanks for taking the time/effort to ask!

GREAT ideas Ace!

how about having a feature which will show all of the threads a member has posted. In that way he doesnt have to hunt down a discussion thread to see if anyone has posted anything after him or not.

To illustrate, I click my name to go to my profile and somewhere there a link to a page, or there itself, will be list of all threads that I've posted in. The list can be paginated as most members will have too many to list in a single page.

Anyone can do that today... Click on the poster's name and select "Find all posts by <poster>"

Here's another one: A bunch are chatting right now. Can't resize chat window and when too many get on there, you can't keep up...how about fixing chat window to allow resize? Also, when you scroll up in the chat widow to read what you missed, if anyone posts it automatically drops back to the bottom and it's hard to keep your place. Recommend if possible that when you scroll up, it stays there until you get back down to the bottom then it keeps up...

Thanks!

Omar,
I read this request a bit different. A quick easy what to see the threads I myself have participated in is a bit more difficult than looking up other posts for a user whose post you are looking at.

The tapatalk iphone app has a "participated" that works pretty slick. I find myself wishing there was a feature like it here myself.

Laid out like the new posts report but filtered to only show posts I have participated in.

In the Geographic Riding Areas forum, can that be Sub-Forumed by state. I know it'd be a bit of an undertaking, but I think it'd help guys/gals find folks and events in their area easier.

Hey Cap, I dont know about this but what if there was a button or icon that your could click on that showed up on the front page in the classified section for when something has been sold so it will automatically say sold
I look at the classified all the time and think it would be nice to be able to distinguish whats still for sale Vs. whats sold without having to go in and read all 30 posts on an item plus I know many members here are members of other sites and post their items in multiple locations

There is currently two ways to know if an item sold.

1. When you look at the ad it will say sold.
2. You can subscribe to the ad and get notified if any activity of the ad. So new messages, it sells whatever you get notified via PM.

The real problem is that people want to use the site to sell but they dont want to clean up after themselves and mark items as sold. A few do but not all, if you sell an item you should go back and close the ad.

You can whisper to others in the chat session now. I will post the instructions

I know that you can edit your ad to say sold I was just thinking maybe a little icon or something on the home page so you dont have to go into the ad. But i do understand the people not cleaning up after themselves also

off topic how do you unsubscribe i have classifed post going to my email and clicked on my subsciptions but it says i have none but always shows up in my email when someon posts something

What am I missing? If I "Find all posts by Professor", I see all the threads that you posted in.

If I'm looking for MINE, simply click on my name in the upper-right to view my profile:

Then click on the Statistics tab and I have options to find all posts by me and find all threads started by me.

The main thing is the "report display". It looks like capture 1 instead of capture 2. There is way more info in capture 2.

minor - but another click to get there. It would be nice if a single click from within the new posts report display would filter them to only show the particpated posts and/or new participated posts.

You still have an Iphone don't you? Look at how slick it works going from displaying unread posts to participated posts in tapatalk. It is slick. The current method here is a bit more difficult to get around.
