Looks like a war is looming in Israel

Jump to conclusions much? I support having people from other countries here yes. Mass undocumented entry, no. There has to be records. Most of the illegal entries are because of a failed system. I hope we bolster USCIS and bolster that process but the general sentiment doesn't sound good. Take a look at a chart showing illegal entry to the U.S. and you'll see spikes around Christmas time. Spend Christmas with the family and then Immigration gives them a ride home. Just speculating, by the way.
My relationships with illegals defines who I am and what I'm about.
Bending words? Or playing with words to detract from what is relevant?

I believe we all support having people from other countries here, provided the entrenched legal processes are followed. Without that, I would not be here. The sense in which you mention it, is simply an attempt to detract from the fact that you support illegal immigration and have sympathy for those who break the law.

I don’t criticize your relationships with illegals, I criticize your belief that laws, regulations and the order which was abandoned by the current administration is fine with you, as reiterated in several of your posts.

The records you suggest are not enough. We have a legal system and a process, which if enforced ensures fairness, and bringing people here who do not become a burden. People who can contribute.

Not denying that. I’m law abiding otherwise. Not good enough for you?

So we understand each other. Good.

Relevance. Lol. Your truth is the only thing relevant to you. I’ve told you before; you’re a pretty smart guy. You just need to get over yourself.

LOL, and there it starts again, the personal insults, when a debate with reason becomes challenging. So predictable.

In closing, most of the illegal entries being because of a failed system is as far from the truth as it gets. The truth is that there is a system in place, which some deny, because they believe America owes the world.

You have at it Red, when it comes to illegal immigration, I would rather debate with someone who is willing to face facts with honesty.

With respects, let's remain focused on the fact this thread is about the war in the Gaza (and now Lebanon)....

This path to illegal immigration in the US will no doubt gravitate towards a political theme........

Trump says "hell to pay" if hostages are not released before his inauguration.

LOL, it is hard to keep politics out of this.

What do you think is going to happen?

That quote was at least directed at the situation in Gaza whereas the illegal immigration problem within the US isn't....

What do I think about Trumps' statement....it's a lot of bluster......Hamas and the other Iranian proxies hate the US more than they hate Israel.

Granted though my thoughts there are not popular I don’t begrudge our guests which is how I think of them. I arrive at my opinions based on personal experience which I fully realize is a tiny sample size.
I root for what I feel is best regardless of who or what causes it.

Putin is giving what, then? An end to the war that has acquired what it was meant to?

You stated that Ukraine will give up these regions as if it had already been agreed upon, when in fact it was conjecture. Try starting that sentence with ‘I feel’.
Those regions are already under total Russian control. The Donbas voted in 2014 I believe to leave Ukraine. It is part of Ukraine but they do not want to be part of it. 'Giving' those up won't hurt Zelensky at all. Getting into NATO will be what convinces him to do so. Putin will accept it as he wants intl assurance Crimea is solidly Russian so he can consolidate his sea power on the Black Sea. It's a global game of chess and I think Putin will take it.
You must keep in mind that Russia is stretched very thin right now. War in Ukraine, civil uprising in Georgia and now full war again in Syria. He can't handle three fronts.

I think he will put pressure on Iran who in turn will direct their proxies depending on how much pressure they can endure.

I don't necessary think it is bluster, the world already knows that the criticism and constraints from the current Administration will be gone. We are already seeing a cease fire in Lebanon, as precarious as it may be.

Time will tell.

That’s why I question your empathy and support for illegal immigrants.
Just making sure Bee understands where this conversation went off course. You and I vehemently disagree on immigration. You say I ignore facts. I acknowledge it’s breaking the law. I acknowledge my stance is in the overwhelming minority. I’m not ignoring facts, just sticking to what I believe, that the more immigration, the better.
Back to regularly scheduled programming.

I get you......however, we've had so much political spill over that sometimes people stop posting as a result.

The system is horrible. A very good friend of mine just waited almost 3 years for a green card renewal that has taken 3-5 weeks for 40 years. The TRUTH is that there are more “illegals” here waiting on visa extensions than people that crossed the border illegally and that the majority have been here at least 10 years.
This is the wrong thread and I will respect that but not the spouting of falsities as facts.
You have something to add, take it to PM.

Hi. No one has ssid anything about the 4 hostages tha was rescued.they were held in the refugee camp in the center of the Gaza strip. They were in a civilian enviroment. They were extracted under intense fire. Now hundreadeds of terrorist came. The were firing small arms, RPG rockets. Now much of yhe news coverage is focused on that Israel carried out a massacre of innocent Palestinians. The Gaza Health Ministry said 130 gazen civilians were killed. Many of the dead were Hamas terrorists but they did not say that. Do not forget that the terroists fired thousands of rounds and RPG rockets not careing who or what they hit. Now Isreal is dealing with condemnatipn from world governments. So what now more war crimes for Isreal. I myself did not pen the hole story it came from Boots on the Grond.

It is a well known fact that msn looks to sell news stories and in many cases tow whatever narrative is being presented at the time.

I know this from experience, I've seen embedded journalists report on specific operations and almost none of what they reported actually occurred......in the early stages of Afghanistan we had embedded journalists with our unit....one time they compromised one of our missions by openly reporting about it......we no longer had any embedded journalists after that........

It is also well known that terror groups such as Hamas use civilians as shields and will not hesitate at killing those civilians once their purpose is no longer needed..........and then blaming these deaths on the IDF.....

Interesting what has just taken place in Syria, with Assad gone and the rebels raiding his palace.

One can’t help to wonder how much we have to do with that?

My thoughts:

The current Administration held little respect in the Middle East as well as Russia. Trump is already active, meeting with world leaders and communicating.

Hezbollah who supported Assad, has taken a heavy toll in the war. Iran had a major knock in their defense system after the Israel strike. Israel knows that Trump has their back, they are no longer held back by threats from the current Administration.

Russia has it’s hands full in Ukraine, they indicate they are willing to talk, while Trump is meeting with Zielenski in France.

Based on all the above, Assad’s allies (Iran and Russia) left him, deserted him, and his troops are willingly handing over to the rebels.

Can’t help but wonder how much our politics and leadership has influenced these developments?

I know for a fact the US has been meddling in the middle east for years and years stoking the fires of hate.......

Although Trump has his flaws (many of them), I think his coming into power will stymy a lot of these conflicts because they just don't know what he will do....

China, on the other hand will stay their course of building an army to defeat the US...once they are ready, the gloves are off and Taiwan will be theirs...

Assad the butcher should’ve been eliminated long ago. I can’t understand why we didn’t arrange it years ago.
To a certain point which is now apparently, most recently he was needed. In the north prior to HTS coming around it was Isis. Few years ago when Assad was close to falling they were the ones who would have won. Had it happened then they would have probably proceeded to murder everyone not aligned strictly with them. The Syrian govt along with the Kurds and Russia and partly the USA all fought to destroy and stamp out Isis. HTS has come out of Jabat Al Nusra splitting from Al Qaeda due to its extremism.
Al Jolani at the moment sounds moderately reasonable and all well educated and eloquent, a thinker not a brute. Syria has been for quite some time well developed and peaceful amongst sects and religions.
It's like a whirlwind of factions who seem to have come together for a greater purpose and that was to free Syria.
It is now......

The prime minister stayed and formally ceremonially will transfer power peacefully. Solely symbolic as they've already taken complete control but it does demonstrate a difference and will to keep things peaceful. They didn't march him straight out into the street and lop his head off at least.

Can do that later :)
