It will be interesting to see how Abu Mohammad Al-Julani transforms in senior leadership.
He comes from a background of war with Israel, working with ISIS and a strong association with al-Qaeda. Then he broke ties, we don't know if it was based on leadership aspirations, or a disagreement of ideology.
Short of this is we got involved to eliminate ISIS, we pounded ISIS camps in Syria yesterday with air strikes, and HTS is still considered a terrorist organization. We still have 900 troops there.
Not so sure this situation will be any better.
Turkey who is part of NATO, has been requested by Russia, to assist with evacuating Russian Troops.
The whole scenario from our side, sounds like war games to support MIC revenue.
Ultimately, the HTS, SNA and SDF will have to work together, something we have learned never works in the Middle East.
