Looks like a war is looming in Israel

You don’t think propaganda can do the job of an internal rising up against the regime?
I don't.....there is just too much power within the regime short of a mass revolt by the people......And if this happens, I'm certain it would be squashed by gunfire...

The only hope would be a leadership change to a leader who is friendly to the west or at least has a world view...

We know that will never happen.

Sure is a lot of talk regarding an amassed fortune owned by Hezbollah and hidden underneath a hospital in Lebanon....

IF this is realty, it will be long gone by now.....hopefully Israel doesn't take the bait and destroy the hospital....

Don’t you think a President should at least try to speak with Iran?
Yes but if one wants to play den mother of the world, genuine communication has to be there all the time, not just in times of crisis. Not easy with an entity like Iran, but who said it's an easy job?

And do you believe Trump stating that he will get this settled and fast, is just blowing hot air?
Do you believe October 7th would have happened under a Trump Administration?
Yes and yes. The fact that you asked both those questions tells me you've partaken in a bit of Kool-Aid. Trump will say anything right now, and Harris as well. This timing of this election is more of a nuisance, ready for it to be over.

No Kool-Aid. I posted my opinion, with which you disagreed, so I asked these questions to try and understand how you think and if you have an opinion.
I'm pretty sure you think, but I don't think you have an opinion of how to stop the Israeli wars.

You won’t like it. My theory is the common denominator. Israel’s confrontational demeanor tends to lead to eventual conflict. The U.S.’s little brother is a trouble maker that lives in a tough neighborhood, in my opinion.

Many share your opinion, but that did not answer the question.

Thought I did; I'll spell it out. When puffing your chest out is the default reaction, it adds to conflict. The middle east may be the most difficult area to practice humility, but it's time proven. Initiate communication to work out a peace settlement with Iran, set up a two state system in Gaza.
Netanyahu and Iran need to stop hating for just a moment and think.

Can't disagree with any of that.

How about a President who gets personally involved and endeavors to facilitate that?

Wouldn't, or hopefully couldn't, hurt. Would have to be very tactfully. My instincts tell me Iran might accept the talks better if Israel doesn't bring their big brother.

Hi. How many times have they been attacted starting in 48. If it was me I would be the same as they. Bee how long do you think it would take to bring them down? I also would not like to see it turn into a big mess like Iraq.

Honestly, I don't think they can be taken down.....there are generations of Hezbollah, Hamas and Houthis who have been raised in hate of the Israeli people and vice versa....

Fighting them is much like fighting the VC was......an enemy that can hit and disappear quickly...

Israel would have been wiser to isolate themselves with an impenetrable border.

Yes, you like tactful a bit more than others.

Amazing the things which happens under Biden and Kamala’s watch. What is even more amazing is that nothing will probably be done about this.

Two things make wars possible... # 1...Funding... so look at who funds it.

#2. Big Egos on a mission to convert people to a belief system of kill them.

What else it their? Take those two actions that speak louder than words and what are you left with when they don't exist?

All walls do it slow things down...

And what was Biden doing Saturday? Having a private BBQ and he didn’t take the time to make a public statement when the attack went down.
Now he’s sent a carrier group to the area with a lot of US kids into harms way with no real public explanation of what he’s thinking or what the plan is.
Brandon is following orders... did you forget how government works?

The evolution to war is far more complicated than these two points you made......

Religious and political differences, geographical disputes, ideology, ethnicity all play a huge role in wars.....funding has nothing to do with starting wars only in the prolonging of them....

The deep down actual hatred I've seen while deployed is something to behold....this hate seethes through their veins and they'd fight with sticks and stones if they didn't have anything else. This hatred exists in people who have never met their enemy......it runs deep.

When you see the aftermath of a uniformed military going through a village raping and murdering everything....men, women, pregnant women, children, elderly people even pets and livestock.....everything.......... and the dead were put on display like trophies as though the attackers were proud of what they did....later on they started digging big ditches and throwing the bodies in them and at least partially burying them....

Until you've witnessed something like this.....you don't know.....

I hoped for more than 400 air strikes today.
Zerks quoted a year old post in this thread last night, so this morning with my coffee I reread the whole thing. Came across that morsel that Blanca referred to. Opinions are all over, correct, incorrect, unprovable, but empathy is real. There is no question that there is absolutely suffering on both sides of this conflict.
