Not good news for the country this morning!

Less fortunate = People with less opportunities than you, who are older and weaker and no families to rely on. People who can only earn minimum wages and no benefits, less strong, less money, less intelligent, more burden, etc....

So we instill this condition by rewarding them for their failures. Everyone has the same basic opportunity. Someone who is truly in need should be helped. Years ago the family managed this.

You can look at this with corporate welfare as well. In the past year we have been rewarding those that failed at business. It doesn't motivate them to do any better.

i grew up poor.....

half of my friends, did not graduate high school.

while i was busting my ass, some of them were partying, having kids....running the streets and joining gangs.

i made the right decisions, i made the sacrifices and put in the work.....

why do i need to support those that did not, do not and will not next year...

people talk about the healthcare system of foriegn countries.....yet the last time i checked, nobody was cramming themselves into cargo containers to sneak those countries....

the system is broken, you cannot build a strong nation by taking from those that work hard and are successful...and give to those that do not.

Same here. And I have to agree.

keywords are "our children".......

i don't work to take care of everybody....and i should not be asked to or forced to.

What he should have said...is SOME people do things for THEIR children....then some choose to do nothing, be a perfect welfare role model....and we wonder why there's 3rd and 4th generations on welfare to this day! Part of making society better is being a role model and showing your kids that through hard work things come a lot easier. Taking the lazy/easy/free way out is a one way ticket to nowhere.

Health care is not a reward. It's basic human neccesity; i.e., clean water and air. You lack such neccesities, you die.

Again, you strike out....it's not JUST about healthcare......re-read the first 4 pages!!
