Russia and Ukraine

The us govt has proven to lie constantly.

They would hide true numbers from us so we don’t start asking why we are still supporting a failing effort. Not saying that’s happening. Only that I believe we would never get the bad truth from them. They will always say things are rosy no matter what.
Pro Russian? Cmon man! That’s what one gets labeled with for simply asking and doubting?

Do you honestly believe Russia has lost 100,000 troops?
If that was true our media would have made sure we saw the rewards for our dollars. Some dead guys here and there. Some videos of tanks getting hit with various weapons. Some videos of guys getting drone dropped bombs on them. Ok fine. 100,000? I don’t believe it.
CNN is constantly showing just those things. They blur the bodies.

I’ve seen the ones and twos but not piles and piles like they would have us believe
No media source will show such things as piles of bodies....

I have it by a reliable source that there has been mass burials of dead Russians and Ukrainians...apparently it got so bad at one point that the Ukraines held a cease fire so the Russians could collect their dead.

Notice the new false flag operation by the Russians. Looking for an excuse to escalate?
I saw that. False flag or not I have always thought Ukraine should take the fight to Moscow. Send a 100 missiles at red square. Let the Russian citizens feel what it’s like to get bombed. Maybe they will turn more strongly on Putin? At this point it certainly can’t hurt.

I agree that they should but I don't think they did. Primary reason being that Putin wasn't there. Pretty sure they have good enough Intel to know that.

If they're going to go after him they should wait until he travels.

A hundred missiles at the Kremlin sounds great though. Problem is Biden. He's put all sorts of conditions on them about strikes inside Russia. He's a coward in my opinion.

Putin is actively trying to flatten Zelenski’s country. He should have no qualms if able about launching attacks in Russia. I certainly would. I mentioned it before they need a Doolittle style raid on Moscow with like ten to twenty planes loaded up.

I agree. Biden is holding them back.
If we recall anything about the history of Russia, the minute you take the fight into their borders it's like a switch is thrown and they go into war mode...the best way to get the Russian population behind this invasion is to attack "Mother Russia."

If the population gets behind the Ukrainian invasion, all bets are off.

To an extent, I agree. Troops inside the border would create that effect. I think some limited air action might make them think that the war isn't such a good idea.

Russia isn't a small country and if Ukraine attempts to bring the fight inside the border of it, I would say the tide will shift drastically and the Russian citizens will change their ideology really quickly.....

It would be a dangerous rabbit hole to go down...and I don't think Ukraine realizes this.

I think Ukraine is very aware of the risk of that. While they are rightfully angry and at war. I think the best they should shoot for is to take back every foot of territory Russia took. Including Crimea.

While they are fiercely defending themselves, they don't have the resources to launch an invasion on a foe of that size. I don't think Zelenski wants to sacrifice more than he already has.

In my opinion the Russians did a little work on their own to try and fire up their citizens but did a poor job of it...the video of this drone strike indicates this...Ukraine has very precise drone capabilities and if they were targeting Putin, they certainly would be able to get closer than they did.

Now Russia is building up for another assault on Ukraine and most likely hoping their populace will get behind them in light of this "assassination" attempt...

Russia can honestly pump men and equiment into Ukraine for years to come.... they literally share a boarder. I think NATO knows Ukraine stands no chance. Ukraine means little to NATO compared to Taiwan. Our only hope is China forcing Russia into peace.

Everyone forgets this war started in 2014.

Not so sure about Russia’s available resources but yes China involving themselves that way would be a good thing.

The Ukrainian troops on the ground know this is going to drag on for years probably decades.

The problems in Ukraine started directly after the fall of the Soviet Union....Russians have been trying to conquer Ukraine by several means...they even installed a pro-Russian puppet government in order to sway the citizens to rejoin Russia.

Russia's resources are limited and even more limited due to sanctions...much like the US, lots of their industrial might has been outsourced...

This is why they are taking T-55 tanks out of mothballs....if they had the resources to defeat Ukraine quicker and easier, they would have used them...a long drawn out conflict is a huge drain on resources and personnel-both of which Russia can't afford.

NATO thinks no such thing, there's has been a lot of time, effort, money and equipment invested in the defense of Ukraine, NATO will not turn their back on them....we are either going to be drawn into the conflict or be the catalyst to end it.

China forcing Russia into a peace accord will come with it's own issue....an alliance between China and Russia wouldn't be good but they are both so egotistical that it probably won't happen....
