Yeah You forgot the  "ALL OF THE ABOVE" option.  I bought it for all of those reasons.

BUT I still would not be on one if they hadn't made the 02' LE.  I never could get past the standard Busa Graphics...Accept for the Black N Blue 02...My Katana was all black back in the day, and I loved it.  I was going to wait until they revised the Busa's sorta strange looks, But I saw it in all black and it was over...Had to have it then and there.

That, and I love torque, Grunt, Power, Pull....Man thats what it's all about...the Busa has it in spades.  Finally, it seemed like a logical progression.

Honda 70
KX 80
Honda XR 200
Katana 750
CBR1100XX
Hayabusa
Guys.......I didn't forget all the above reason.....that's the other, post below reason........then you can explain yourselves right.
nice try MSF

Um, you started the slinging by ragging about my avatar, which you are the only one that seems to have a problem with...take a peek in the mirror when dishing out behavioural advise...
This is crazy Ray......I wasn't "ragging" bout yer avatar at all........actually called my wife in here and had a good laugh at it.

OK..gang...addiction sux...39cc 50cc 100cc 125cc 400cc suzuki TM 500cc 510 thumper cc..dirt..street riding ..52 500 Royal enfield
350 RD ,500 Tx Yam ,750 Honda ,Kz900 ,85 ninja 900, 88 GSXR1100 then a 89 FZR 600--road raced it. Then 40k on a Kawa concours 1000 then a 93 Honda CB 1000...the only logical step after that was either a ZX12 Or Busa....when i saw the 01 Blue Silver..Just a natural next bike choice...Just a nice torquey way fast most awsome machine..just love the way it moves out from a stoplight..."monster with soul".. nice wheelies..fast enough most of the time...Anyway..could not be happier at 52 ...and can still ride it like it was meant too...

I thought "bragging rights" would be a little higher in the standings.......are you guys telling the truth?rock.gif suspect.gif
I would think that the "Bragging Rights" would be lower...What kinda tool do you have to be to seriously buy a machine for "Bragging Rights?"  Are peoples lives so empty and hollow?  Do they thirst for some form of validation so badly?

I know I am being a beaatch here but WTF? pissed.gif
Some of you know where this is coming from but...

-You are NOT your Bike..."You are NOT your Job...You are NOT your fu*^ing Khakis"...
-It can NOT make you cool(er)... cool.gif
-It will NOT make you Better looking... drooling3.gif
-It will NOT make you smarter... drooling3.gif

-The chicks at the light, they do not think you are better looking because of your bike... (It's the full face helmet)  laugh.gif
-Buying a Busa to UP your cool factor, or to fill an empty spot in your life is a lot like believing the stripper likes you...  It's just going to empty your pockets, piss off your spouse and in the end you end up more desperate and broken D^cked than you were before.... 11doh.gif

So, if your big big motivator in life is to impress the little Saturday night squids and the wanna be fast and furious crowd, these are the people whose respect is important?rock.gif

Buy the Busa for the speed, the handling, the looks, the scarcity, the FREEKING RUSH!!!!!  But for the love of whatever you pray to...Not for the Bragging Rights...This is a bike, not a Lifestyle/Image repair/remodel device...   cussing.gif

<span style='color:orangered'>Hows that for a REVLIS brand public service RANT!  Yeah, I know...I have a funeral to go to, I need a cup of coffee, a cigarette, and a good 1/2 hour ride...Not hating anyone people, you know this...I just felt the need to lash out at America's Image/Hollywood culture... An eggshell of substance wrapped around a large mass of wiggly jello consistancy bullsh^T....  I think working for the DoD is getting to me too.....

Much Love ya'll...</span>

Monster, this isn't aimed at you either...It's not Aimed at anyone really...I know most of the folks here who selected Braggin rights are just playing...It's just the idea of it I guess...

Always wanted to ride before my last/first bike ('02 BMW K1200RS). My dad used to have a BMW, a Triumph Bonnie, Kawi Mach3, etc. back in the 70's, and I have the same nutball gene. After riding little stuff -- Nighthawks, CBR600's, misc. little UJM's -- I got the beemer. A heck of a first (owned) bike, but I adjusted to it ok.

Cured me of "car lust" instantly -- I will never have much interest in a four-wheeled, internal combustion vehicle again. My wife and I will drive our '88 Saturn until the wheels fall off.

Problem was, after a year on the beemer, I still wasn't in love with it as much as I should have been. It was very heavy, powerful for what it was but could get spanked by a good rider on a 600cc sport bike, and not especially reliable over the 12,000 miles I owned it (BMW reliability is over-rated, in general, but that's another story...). So THEN I got the 'Busa.

Just about as comfortable, fast as stink, about as good 2-up, not as good suspension or brakes (ah, well...), and a good deal more flickable. In short, great for sport-tours -- probably more so than a number of other bikes I could name.

Now, in short, I've cured myself of "bike lust" wink.gif .

I haven't bought my busa yet (still saving cash). Let me tell you why I will own one. Style, power, grace. These bikes just rock. I have ridden Harleys, other sportbikes, off roaders, you name it. Nothing touches the busa in style and power. To put both together so artfully, Suzuki can do no better.

Keep the shiny side up brothers.

Welcome to the board Thor

i learned on my gsxr1100 and wanted to stay with the big bikes.. the gsxr1000 wheelies waaayyyy to easy and the busa has an aura <spelling> around the the busa.. with the gsxr's u have to look at them to know what size ur looking at and if they are moving at any speed forget it. BUT the busa u glance and u kow what it is!!

oh and if anyone try's the penis extension thingy.. ill give them references to dispell that rumor!! LOL

I haven't got mine yet but the major reason I chose a busa was the fact that it was the most comfortable of all the sport bikes I "tried on". I had no idea about the absolute speed/power and top dawg status until I came here to do some final research before buying one. I figured it'd be fast and powerful but I had no idea it'd be the baddest bike available.

I guess a close second reason for going with a busa would be the styling. I liked the ZX-12 best until I saw my first busa a couple years ago. I was on patrol and saw near identical twin silver grey busas on a trailer behind an SUV. Ever since seeing those two beauties I just can't make myself like the styling of any other bike.

I thought it was just awesome that the bike I thought was the best looking was also the most comfortable for me. It was a no brainer after sitting on the first one I looked at in a dealer. biggrin.gif

You guys remember that Cycle world article in June 99 Where they had the Busa on the cover? That's when I decided I had to have one and Copper is the color I wanted. It took me three years to get it but its in my garage now.

Simply the most functionally styled and executed machine that you can buy with ultimate sport performance in a stock production.

It really belongs in an Ultimate Sport class by itself.
