I'll say it like this. I, on my F4, have beaten a pilot on a Honda 954 from a 80 to 150 "race". Not because my bike was faster, but because he became nervous at 120mph.Getting off topic, but that's the point of doing a rollon is to show the abilities of the machines and not the riders. For that matter I could beat a Busa with my F4 on a 80-to-whatever race if the Busa pilot was afraid to hit a certain speed or was afraid to open the throttle all the way. That doesn't mean I could beat anyone who pilots the Busa, just that one. Put someone else on the Busa and the results may be different.Look at all the BS that accompanies a unskilled race, can you imagine if they had gone from a dig?
I'd really like to see a dyno of that turbo to see if it's actually making the claimed hp. The viper is obviously fast and the video shows what I'd expect a highly worked 8.0L to do to a STOCK hayabusa, but I have a hard time believing anything streetable can do that to a well tuned boosted busa in the 250hp+ range.
When we first rolled the throttle, he took off. Slowly but surley I caught up to him and passed him because he only got up to 120 while I got up to 150. Does that mean my F4 is faster than his 954? Nope. That simply means I'm more comfortable at higher speeds than he is.
On another note, I also beat this pilot in the 1/4 mile because by him knowing his front tire would have come up if he launched hard, he decided to hold back on the take-off causing him to lose the race ... that doesn't mean my F4 was faster.
In either race scenario, I would have won both races on either bike simply because I'm a better rider/racer than he is.
Thats why I said if another pilot had been on the bike, the result may have been different.
