You have a cop kill a guy on camera. Then during the riots, you send in your thugs and they burn the place down. And you have a distraction big enough to wipe your virus failures right off the front pages of the media. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Crazy, consider this:
1. In St. Paul, all of the arrests were people from out of state. ALL OF THEM! Look at the video, there are a lot of whites rioting. I would like to think these are white people who see the problems with policing, but I wasn't born yesterday.
2. Did you know there has been a significant rise in virus infections since states started opening?
3. Most will think this is blacks rioting and "burning their own neighborhoods". The damage in Minnesota occurred in downtown commercial areas in the shadow of the state capitol.
4. Polls show even Trump people think a donkey (pun intended) would do a better job fighting the virus. Would you want the election to be about the virus?
5. It's had to argue the cop who killed George Floyd wasn't making a statement. He kept his knee on Floyd's neck for 8 minutes and looked directly into the camera.
6. Trump is behind nationally by 8-10 points and behind in critical states by the same amount, making an electoral college save unlikely. That's with only a couple months left in the campaign and limited ability to rally.

The theory also works in reverse. Support Trump's opposition by creating a pandemic on purpose and then causing riots on purpose. Huge problems in an election year don't help Trump's prospects for reelection. I don't believe anyone intentionally caused COVID-19. Some of the things I see happening with the riots make me wonder if this wasn't set up though. I don't know what to think.

Maybe shootings are under-reported on purpose so as not to encourage more. I see there were two reported shooting deaths in Indianapolis last night and multiple gunshots reported.

HI. all I want to know was what happened before, What action made the cop do what he did. Every action gets a reaction. When a VC tried to kill me with the bearnett on his gun, I had to react to that action. I could acted in many different way. I could have ran away, I could have fallen down played dead, I put my had up to deflect the attack,[ that is how I got stabbed in my right hand.] I used all I had in me to overcome the VC as I was being short at by other VC. To make a very long story short. [This is kind of hard to talk about] We were on a resupply mission, pick up a walking wounded, sent to pick up an other one, They popped smoke, the wind pusher it off, we landed in the wrong place, VC were shooting at us we were in the open, my pilot was killed crew chief wounded but walking, a bird landed to pick us up, no room for me,, I keep the back untill I was out, the VC charged I was down to my last round in my 45 [ it was for me if I could not get free] That is how I got stabbed. A gun ship came by pushed the back, a bird pick me up. And that is why I am still here. So 1 action sets up for a reaction.

Kneeling on a man's neck for 9 minutes while he's handcuffed, pissed himself, and is telling you he can't breathe isn't a reaction to something that happened before. Nothing made the cop do that other than the fact that he could. What you see in the video is a coward imposing his will on a helpless person. So again, saying that what happened before is important implies that there may have been something, anything that justifies what he did. There isn't.
With respect, comparing your combat experience in Vietnam in 1968 to policing Minneapolis in 2020 is ridiculous. The two scenarios are nothing alike. There are no enemy combatants, George Floyd was an American. Police aren't military, they're not warriors, they're guardians. I get that the experiences you had were life changing, and that sometimes cops have to use deadly force, but if a police officer can't tell the difference between policing and combat then they're not fit to wear the badge.

I agree, all this wanton destruction does little to substantiate the main issue of racism and abuse of power. The protesters are using destruction and violence to get the point across they don't want violence used against citizen's of color...

Citizens who are getting their property destroyed certainly won't be looking with sympathy nor will they be siding with the protesters. In the end, all this destruction has to be both cleaned up and paid for-where do they (protesters) think the money will come from to do this-the already over burdened tax payer is who.

I get the right to protest, I get the people are upset, what I don't get is how selfish this protest has become.

Many of these pictures are directly out of the playbook of totalitarian regime third world countries.

People spent months in isolation trying to fight off a pandemic and now that has all gone out the window-selfish ignorance is the phrase I can only come up with.
