I caught all five late night talk shows tonight and they were on topic and actually pretty good. They all had black guest speakers, some, writers on the shows and some, friends of the hosts. One of the best guests was on Fallon’s show, Jane Elliot, a white educator I’ve been familiar with since my college days. She’s the blue eyes brown eyes teacher if that sparks a memory. What a great ol girl! She addresses the notion that some whites have when they say stuff like, ‘I don’t see colors, I’m color blind‘. She related stories about Dr. King’s assassination which was on my birthday in 68 and the response from the Press including Cronkite’s response. Good show if you can find it again. I must also admit that I’m secretly in love with Amber Ruffin, a writer on Seth Myers show. I know it’s off topic but
Oh, I think it’s also necessary to point out that all five talk show hosts are white men.
