Was this a Racial Slur?

I'm watching on MSNBC. They have live reporters there and most of the protesters appear to be white. I am going to switch to Fox here to see if the black protesters are congregated elsewhere.
I just told my better half that I didn't want to watch it on any of the news channels. I am sick of the sensationalism and hyperbole. Listening to the scanner lets me hear what is happening without slant in either direction.

Yeah but you can't see anything, you need to see what's going on or at least what they are showing.

It's rapidly spiralling out of control. Shots being reported. Gas being deployed

These aren't protests, this is looting and rioting. This is people taking advantage of justified anger and frustration to participate in criminal actions. They are not accomplishing anything productive.
So its just a repeat of history. Some people taking advantage of a tragedy to loot a new TV. Happened here close to home when a hockey team lost the Stanley Cup. Innocent people are going to suffer at the hands of a few radicals who probably don't know much about the actual facts and are using this for pure advantage.
I'll just go look at some vids.Thx,
Rubb.

National guard are being deployed. This isn't going to end well.

I heard, a whopping 500 of them. The powers that be need to arrest and charge those responsible for Floyd‘s death, now! All that’s happened is that they were fired. If a carpenter or cab driver had been filmed killing someone they wouldn't have simply been fired, they would’ve been arrested and charged. If charged, they’ll bail out, lawyer up, seek and get a change of venue and sometime late this year, maybe, they’ll be brought to trial. Am I optimistic?

something doesn't add up. I'm telling you guys it looks like most of the protesters are white people. Interesting. I know these are isolated shots but look at these:

Mr. Brown is correct, protest is one thing , as Martin Luther King did even the Vietnam protests, but looting and destroying innocents property should be dealt with in the harshest manner. I for one am tired of these criminals, just as I’m with thugs with badges.

As stores and a police precinct burns, the lack of any law enforcement presence is a huge mistake and one the city government is going to pay for. Looters, fire starters and window smashers should be dealt with as they occur. LEO presence would prevent more. After the King verdict Chief Davis in L.A. retired shortly after he too made the decision to prevent any law enforcement presence just about everywhere in L.A. and look what happened.

Well at the risk of being mister obvious, this is getting really dangerous. I get pulling the cops back to avoid another incident but at some point they will have to increase their use of force to get control of the situation. Hopefully they can do this without too much force but now that the mob has tasted blood it's going to be difficult. All I know is November can't come soon enough. We need to get past this election no matter what the outcome.

There's nothing like adding mayhem to the mix for a bunch of bored people not working due to the virus. Half (or more of them) probably don't even know why they are destroying a city and are swept up in mob mentality.

Sad really.....

Wasn’t he already cuffed? I don’t think the knee in the neck (is) being taught in police academies. It wasn’t taught in the police academy I attended in the late 70s. Of course kicking and striking an individual with batons already on the ground by several cops for (minutes) until (they) got tired w/o any attempts to cuff him and take him into custody wasn’t taught either.

He was cuffed, the officer had back up, he had no reason to do what he did. I know police officers are put in terribly scary situations and my heart goes out to them, but that doesn't insulate idiots like the officer involved in that incident.
