Weather Where You Are

Just back in after blowing snow for the second time...another 6-7 inches...by the time I was done, there was around 2 inches down and snowing heavily...I gave up at that point and came in the house...

Will be a job for tomorrow...

The weather is up and down like a toilet seat.....we had -30 one morning and it was +6 later that day...one day last week...

I've just come in from clearing yet another round of snow...at least it has stopped and let the wind pick up, the snow plow left a 3 foot pile at the end of my driveway which is never fun to clear.

I hear you there brother...

I did a few training exercises in Alaska and it wasn't a warm experience. One of my neighbors just came back from a few weeks there training with our Chinooks....he said there were days it was colder here than it was there....

We used to do annual arctic advanced winter warfare exercises well above the tree line and used to invite various sof entities from other countries. It sure is a sobering eye-opener as to ones ability to not only survive in these sorts of conditions but to be effective in a fight..
 
Rained like heck yesterday and overnight a gentle 30mph wind blew in making the temp 20'F this morning....

Of course it's garbage/recycle day and there is recycling blowing all over creation...
 
Not a bad day. At work, some slow, easy blues playing in the background. Watching the world go by while waiting for scripts and processes to finish running and compiling. About 19c
And never knew, watching people hang their washing out across the way is kind of hypnotizing..

Spring has sprung here....trees are starting to bud, birds are starting to nest...the spring smell is in the air...

I might even stick a battery in the Bumblebee and take it for a flight...

Was out working on the tractor yesterday and looked up when I saw a Bald Eagle circling around the neighborhood...I watched a Raven fly up to intercept it and was amazed as it drove the Eagle off, as the Raven was flying escort, 3 crows flew up to drive it off and when they were successful 4 or 5 Grackles flew up to drive them off...it was like watching the Battle for Britain bird style.....

Going to switch over the tires on the truck today and have some more tractor work to get done...
 
Snowing and very windy here today....the ground is slowly turning white and it's supposed to drop well below freezing tonight...

at least i can say no snow but wont be riding in this wind.
 
100'F here today without the humidex thrown in....you start sweating by just walking outside....
