Not bad today.....

if you’re inside!

We are in drought conditions here...first time I have ever seen this in May...this is more like July weather...40'C (104'F) weather on the way this weekend....

It's warm out there.....riding out on the country roads I saw many fields which were not doing so well, the corn stalks are only around 5 inches high and turning brown...it's been around a month since we've had rain and we need it badly...

If we had a real good wind I can see it looking like the mid west in the 1920s around here.

It rained it's hole off today....but I'm not complaining as we desperately needed it, my grass was becoming crispy...

The boss lady and I have just returned from a brisk walk in what we thought was between rain storms...turns out it wasn't but I had the presence of mind to make sure the wife unit had an umbrella..

I didn't bother with it as the rain felt nice.

It was 48'F last night and is only supposed to get to 70'F today....yesterday it was around 100'F with the humidex....

Yesterday in my car and a shot of the sun as it sets today. There’s a fire to the west and all that’s out there are flats, rolling hills and oak trees that dot the countryside like huge bushes. It’s very near to one of my loops.

I’m about 15 miles east of Raymond and this fire is 8 miles north of Raymond.

It was a wild night last night-we got a month's worth of rain in a couple hours...

There were ponds of water all over the place...

At least it brought high humidity with it...if one wants to get a good sweat on, all they have to do is walk outside.
