Weather Where You Are

The riding season here is quickly coming to an end, the day time highs are starting to drop to around 50'F with some days reaching 60'F casual riding in these temperatures isn't real enjoyable, if I was commuting I might suck it up more...add to this the bike doesn't like to stick to real cold pavement and I'm not wanting to risk dropping my bike for any reason.

My riding days are numbered now.

If only we had the money to take our bike and follow the riding seasons ..

We're starting to get into ours now. 17-19c with the odd burst to 21-22 at the moment. Still freezing in the morning and at night though. Hopefully by Dec 8 our travel distance restrictions will be removed.

i have friends who do just that, they take their bikes to the southern US for the winter, they have residences there but now the health insurance is getting too high along with the out of country residential taxes.

Add in the Covid travel restrictions and many of them have given up their southern pilgrimage.....

I kind of laughed at one of them, it had been years and years since he had a snowblower and asked for my help in picking a decent one out and giving him a refresher in how to use and maintain it...

Ahhhh the good ole snow blower. I put wiping paddles on my blades and had a 26in led light bar on it lol. Threw snow a good 60 feet across the street and on to my buddies yard….. :)
What's this "snowblower" contraption you refer to? Some odd new age gadget I suppose?
I'm eyeballing one of these...I'm still on the fence as I like my current blower but it's getting a little long in the tooth..

Just saw the latest longish range weather forecast-frost and minus temperatures are in our very near future...

Bike season is quickly escaping us here in the north.

It's about 50'f here this morning...and wet as it rained all day and last night....

Supposed to be decent a couple days next week and then that's about it for the riding season...

Well, today is it according to the weather people....it is the last day in the high teen temps (celcius), the rest of the week and in the near future sees the daytime highs to be not more than 9'C (48'F). and as I won't ride in those temps, the bike will be going into storage.

I'm heading out to the daughter in laws to bring some stuff for my grand daughters 10th birthday then will clean the bike all up and prep it for winter.

Yeah, I don't like the cold either...but I still ride in it. :poke:
Well, you are entitled to of course but I've had my fair share of riding in the cold and honestly prefer not to.

...and around here cold is usually associated with ice and snow......and salt on the roads...
