Weather Where You Are

Today’s supposed to be 93 degrees F.

Same here temps here although we've had lots of frosty mornings with ice on the puddles.

40'F is not good riding weather for me...

40's aren't my favorite either...but I'll ride.
I'm sitting at work considering how much vacation time I have left, and that it'll only take me a minute to zip-tie the old headlight on the gsxr and go.
Only problem is that the best roads 30 minutes away range from 2k-4k' elavation.
So it'll be alot cooler, and possibly black ice in the shade...which never stopped me before, lol.
We are fortunate to randomly get a 60-80 degree day or 2 throughout the colder months too, so there will be a few good days before spring.

I noted yesterday it got up to over 50'f but saw frost still in the shadows...

I am certainly not going to risk crashing my bike by hitting ice on the road....Id rather have a short season than risk a crash.

In my younger days, I rode in almost all weather....I remember wiping the snow off my seat and riding as the roads were just wet. Not anymore though.

e have had a bit of snow over the last few days and the salt/sand trucks were out...the parking lots are the worst for this as they just dump a lot of salt/sand in them...

I hate all that sand/salt mix...especially when you track it into your vehicle.

It's raining right now and supposed to get up to 6'C today whereas tomorrow it's supposed to go to -8'C so the weather is all over the place..

All of my snowmobile riding neighbors are getting antsy.....they want snow and lots of it right now...

Well, the weather outside was frightful....but I have a new snowblower so that's delightful....

The wind was whipping last night and left a few 3 foot snow drifts and around 8" on the level. The temperature went up so all that snow is wet and heavy....my new blower went through it like butter...

I was almost all done the driveway when I remembered I have steering on this thing...it was getting kind of heavy lugging around up to that point...

...had to laugh to myself...my nearest neighbor has 4 kids, 3 boys and a baby girl...the boys aged 10 (twins) and 8 came over to ask me to build a snow fort with them...

So when my wife came home from work I was out building a snow fort and fixing up their sliding hill their dad and I built for them...

Sometimes the kids will come over, ring the doorbell and ask my wife if I can come out to play...she gets a kick out of that...

Coldish here, in the 40s. Up high, above 8,000’ there was a little snow but the roads were dry. Supposed to rain a bit this week.

sounds like a good career change...and if you have to live in the cold.

In Bavaria Germany wie have -6 degrees but it feels much colder! Lots of snow, bad conditions on our roads and Snow plow diligently distributes road salt. There is absolut no bike feeling. We have to wait until the end of April, to think about the new season.

Years ago climate scientists told us "No winter in germany anymore, 20 degrees even in december! Subtropical diseases! Palm trees will grow outside the windows! Cold days are over, now the drought is coming" Well......still sitting in the snow and waiting for the palm trees :D
